Why is that police dept pushing this when they have drug users sitting at their door?? I don't see this as a priority to be using tax payer money to pay court costs. Is the Prosecuter that hard up for something to do ?? This seems like he has nothing better to do with his time.Logan must have a very low crime rate !!!

The kid broke the law it dont not have anything to do with the N R A shirt. it has to do with what he did and what he said. If daddy would stepped up and acted like a dad and told him what was wrong and what was right. and how to act at school. the police would not been called that day. But no the daddy wants a name for his self and get on tv telling every one it was because of the shirt. and it was not.do you see it was not about the shirt it was because of how his baby boy acted and what his baby boy said. If that had been my child. I would have made him stand outside of the school with a sing that read I am sorry for what I done. This is why our schools are in the shape they are in now. Teachers have no way of keeping this kids in check. I wish the you bring back paddling and that night teach this kids to act they way the should.

They got him for obstructing an officer. The shirt was just the catalyst for this debacle. The police should have never taken the call. They should have never been called. The kid wore a shirt they didnt approve of and wouldnt take it off... They should have called the parents not the friggin cops. Even if the parents didnt agree with the school official punish the child with school punishments not legal punishment. The law nowadays wont deal with the real criminals a 14 year old is a much less threatening topic

If mommy and daddy had taught this child how to act and to not to cuss the police out and to stop when the police told him to.not to act like a little smart ass. he would not went to jail. and when the police is called to a school they have got to go they dont know what is all going on.there is a lot of kids there not just the one acting like a ass.what if they did not go and all hell broke loss and so child got hurt or worse.then the police would be the deviles so they cant win for losing in eyes. there is aways to sides to every story. and because the boy is 14 the police cant talk about it. but the kid his dad and Ben White can go around just telling there side not the truth.

If that officer cannot carry out his duty when a citizan is talking what is he going to do when some one has a GUN, pee his pants,. He needs more intense training to deal with 8th graders.by the way Logan treats Drug offenders you can tell they are afraid to enforce real laws.If he cant handle a child talking, how can he handle a prisioner. That job takes skill and a lot of it. Send those police men and women to professional schools for training.

This is the stupid overreacting thats the biggest issue with this country. It was a dress code issue and a smart mouth kid. Kids have no fear because the government has made it this way.... You cant legally whip kids anymore. They took paddling out of schools. They took god out of schools. Theres a huge difference between whipping a child for correction purposes and beating a child. So the government and the flower children brought this stupidity about. You will never ever convince me that a tshirt and a smart mouth is cause for them calling the cops.

That kid is 16 and in the eighth grade. Does that not ring any bells? Rattle any cages? He's a mean ass kid as big as a man. Sorry the teacher is right. My daughter got beat up by an eighth grader who happened to be behind in school and was a bully. He caught my daughter picking up something from the floor and hit her over the head with a book. What kind of "child" would do that. The Principal would not or could not do anything. So this little shot walked away laughing.

welcome to the 'court of public opinion'...maybe this shouldn't have been put out there on television and instead left up to the court. but hey, a scene has been made now by parent and/or attorney. much like a scene was made by child in school which lead to police involvement. apple doesn't fall far from tree. how's that for some hard ass shit?

This kid sounds like he has no respect for anyone. First the teacher and then the police? If the shirt, and that's a big if, did not go against school policy then the kid should have went along. He could have then asked his parents to come in and discuss his rights. Granted it wouldn't have stirred up the crazies who hop on the bandwagon of any NRA gotcha line but it might have been the respectable way to do acheive his goal of wearing the shirt.
What ever happeed to reason? The father should be ashamed too What a great piece of parenting he's handing down. When, and yes I said when, this kid uses his gun rights to rob you of your beloved pain pills, lets see how you feel about the lesson he learned here.
He's learning...whatever I want to do is my right, regardless of how it affects others or disrupts their lives.
Jeez, God help us all.

The teacher that told the student to change his shirt is at fault for not following school policy - he should have taken the student to the office and discussed the issue with another adult present instead he incited a riot in the cafeteria because the other students knew the teacher was wrong and tried to tell him to stop and the teacher panicked and called the police
