I think in this instance the mean justifies the end. As long as there will be insurance for the poor then it does not really matter how the politicians will get it.

Yes I'm painfully aware of that. Once repu8blicrat max baucus took charge and banned single payer advocates from hearings any meaningful health care reform became impossible. obamacare is a huge gift to the insurance and drug companies. It should be noted that over the years baucus has taken over $4 million from these 'industries.'
