My heart goes out to the owners. I wish I could do something to help with your loss. I am hoping that the boys responsible will be held accountable for what they have done. If for ANY reason they are not punished to the fullest extant for their actions I would have to question our judicial system. To pull the trigger and kill an animal in such a manner and not caring is something that would most likely posable led to other more serious crimes. This is what we hear all the time in cases where there has been high school shootings, random shootings etc. when will it stop. All the would haves and should haves, all the we should of, what ifs, it's a sign and of how many times are they going to smack them on the hands, give them one more chance AGAIN and so on and so forth. Stop them before it's a human at the other end of the gun and it's to late. God bless everyone and be safe.

You should have known something was wrong win our judicial system when a father murdered his two year old daughter and was only sentenced to seven years. This is where concern in our community should lie.

What about the plea bargain that the man received for murdering his two year old child?? Wake up people. So your saying if these boys get full punishment, all is right in our justice system after a father killed his own child and got seven years??? You should be ashamed and I am disgusted that a poor baby isn't important enough in our community for people to call the prosecutor on that issue alone. Regardless of the results of this case, I would never vote for someone who gives a murderer of his own child 7 years! Sick sick people!!!!

The person who has the audacity to even TYPE that these boys need shot has something seriously wrong with them, my guess is that their priorities are a little out of line. It is scary where this world is heading. People are more concerned about the death of a horse than the murder of a child. I'd rather see every horse in the state dead than to hear about a man killing his own innocent two year old baby. That's where the real problem is. How many people in this area are outraged enough to call the district prosecutor over that poor baby? Not enough. If every citizen in this area is not voicing their concern about that man's plea bargain being accepted, then it's not enough. Too many people are worried about something of a smaller importance. It's a shame that the horses were killed, but c'mon people, OPEN YOUR EYES. There are things going on out here that we should be more disgusted about than this.

Couldn't agree more. The only reason this has become such a big deal is because of public outrage. It's a sad day when someone will petition over the killings of horses and not over the murder of a baby. Every person in this town should be writing letters, emails, and calling the prosecutor and telling him what a joke he is. Not promising him their vote if he gets maximum punishment for these boys. I'm absolutely disgusted.

As I said, the poor baby's murder needs brought up because so many more people are making such a big deal about a horse's life than an innocent little two-year-old child... That is horrible. People are calling and threatening not to vote for elected officials if these boys don't get full punishment but they'll vote for them even though a plea bargain was accepted for a man who brutally killed his own child??? Call me crazy, but I feel like that's reason in itself to never vote for those people again.. In my eyes the value of an animal's life doesn't even begin to be comparable to that of a human. That's why the poor baby needs to be brought up. Maybe if so many people weren't focussing their time and effort on something so minuscule in comparison, then the justice system would get straightened up. I feel like that poor excuse for a father should be the aim of belligerent comments about "being shot" or the candidate for "some jailhouse loving."

I agree that the boys need punished but I sure wish the community would have a public outcry about other things. This subject, as horrible as it is, has caused a bigger uproar then anything in this town for years. We should be this passionate about a lot of other crimes in Boyd County. What would you do if it were your child? What will some of you do when sentence is brought down on them, still go on and on about it?? It was a unthinkable act but why get on a public forum and say some of the stuff that is being said? I don't understand going on and on about it when there are drug dealers selling dope that is killing people or parents abusing kids, these things are what we should all be getting all fired up about as well. It's obvious these boys will be punished and they deserve it, all I am saying is we should be this mad about other things in this county. Maybe just maybe if everyone rallied about other crimes then Boyd County would be a much better place. I feel bad for the owners of the horses, I can not imagine the pain they are in, I also hate it for the parents because no parent wants their child in a situation like this.

Should be interesting to see the final outcome. Yes it is unfortunate the baby killer only got 7 years but also these horse killers could eventually become baby killers if they are not held accountable to the fullest extent! Them being punished appropriately will be good.
