Imagine that. Death fumes from the refinery.

When will our city leaders address this problem and get the government involved?

Could there be a reason why they don't?

Maybe a grand jury to look into the reasons why the city commission or our local building inspector will not do any thing about the endangering of the citizens of Coffeyville.

Well Jim, you could start the balll rolling by riding your horse to work, driving your buggy to get the groceries, burn candles for light. Show them you do not need their "energy"...

Money
Jobs
Tax revenue
Economic base.
All relate back to the first.

All that being said. If they are following EPA rules, Then I don't see what more is expected.

If you feel they are breaking the law, report it...I know and have talked to EPA inspectors..They do keep a close eye on this and other refineries. As well as stockyards, feedlots, PCB and other waste handlers.

Just where do you want them to move to? I like them here..It makes me a living...There will be waste and there will be people being paid to deal with it..All because you want to drive a car, and use electricity.

I personally don't care if they do move. Wal-Mart will still be here and that's all we need.

I heard they do most of the illegal burning at night after dark so the public doesn't freak out about the smoke and harmful affects.

Oh they couldn't do that they would have to have a meeting to discuss having a meeting and schedule it to discuss how busy they are having meetings to do anything. But hey they have a great motivational power point presentation with flashing signs sent to each other's i pads so they can text each other about this meeting. All kidding aside the truth is, the whole city needs to be moved away from the refinery as possible.
