George Washington University is in trouble for giving doctored information to U.S. News for their college listings. How did MSU get to be 341 in the US? Someone at MSU lied. The US News website lists a Kristen Stumpf as the person supplying the information. Time to contact the magazine for a retraction and explanation of their ridiculous information gathering model. Modus Operandi for MSU: Lie, Lie, and Lie some more.
The DEL program was basically to give the MSSL folks a second chance at the graduate degree pie. Look who was graduating from there with a MSSL and DEL: Kelley Mays! I hope they paid her way. Any one who ever investigated a legitimate Ph.D. or Ed.D. program will tell you that MSU did not even have enough Ph.D.s to teach their courses. Where are the dissertations those students wrote? Comphrehensive exams?
Many of the former MSU employees went to classes at MSU to supplement their low pay. MSU was really equal opportunity: they screwed over every body from faculty to staff to students.

DEL Ivy League Pedigree wrote:
The DEL program was studied by numerous experts on doctoral level learning. They made serveral public proclamations both in person- on site and in writing affirming the efficacy of the doctoral curriculum and the unquestionable expertise of the faculty. In fact, some even used the outstanding DEL and MSSL programs as case studies in talks conducted across the nation. There is no question, folks, Ruth Wylie and Bill White were really on to something. It is a tragedy that UC has decided not to continue to the DEL. They probably do not have the intellectual capital currently to manage a program of this caliber. If they were to hire Dr. Sidor, Dr. Wylie or even Dr. White, they would. Southern WV DOES need a Harvard-like program such as the DEL in its midst.
Again, with the national experts. If they aren't hiding in shame for allegedly backing the DEL program, give names or publications to support the claims. The national experts who are associated with national credentialing bodies appear to differ with this mysterious "they" that people on here mention but never cite. Apex thinking: create a source to try to build support for a failed program.

Is NOT an advocate of Apex Thinking. Those of you who try to place her in the same camp as Bill White a d Roslyn obviously do NOT know her. She embraces ethical leadership principles in her personal life and her work at MSU. Leave her alone and show her some deepest. She is considered to be a top innovater in leadership education. How lucky MSU was to have her for a while.

I've heard she's a foster mommy too. I honestly believe that a person who loves homeless kitties and doggies usually loves people too. Ruth Wylie loves her pets. I hope she can continue to make a good difference. Good lady!

This beacon caused students who could not do the college level work to borrow money they can never pay back. Some students cannot get accepted to other colleges because of a number of reasons including too low SAT/ACT scores, poor grades, etc. Shame on the person who is posting positive things just to save his/ her own job.

State court-level MSU cases referred to mass ..6:00 PMAll currently pending or subsequently filed state court cases regarding Mountain State University will be referred to the mass litigation panel, a Dec. 6 administrative order states.
The order additionally states that if a case is remanded back to state court from federal jurisdiction, such as 14 cases in Jefferson County, they will be referred to the panel as well.
Raleigh County Circuit Judge John Hutchison filed the motion to refer civil actions and the court's supplemental motion to refer in the case of Jessica Bostic v. Mountain State University.

Several lawsuits have been filed in state court against Mountain State University regarding its accreditation.
The exhibit in the order listed more than 200 state court cases, ranging in location with the majority filed in Kanawha, Cabell and Raleigh counties. Others were filed in Putnam and Jefferson counties.
According to the order, all of these cases involve "harm caused to plaintiff as a result of Mountain State University's loss of its general accreditation, special accreditations in its nursing and nurse anesthetist programs and any other educational programs that require independent accreditation."
