The District Attorney's Office Thursday searched Councilman Ron Beilke's house, business and office at City Hall as part of two ongoing investigations into his political activities.

The filing for Pico Rivera's November election begins Monday. Does anyone think the timing of these searches is a little odd? Unfortunately, this is all about politics. The conflict of interest allegations regarding Beilke stem from the street improvements and traffic light installation at the former Kmart lot. These were projects of the overall "city" good, not Beilke's. Does anyone think Beilke's Wienerschnitzel business increased after this work was done? Come on, get real. The three month intersection repair practically shut down his business. Proving that Beilke actually "benefited", and yes that the correct word here is proving, is hardly an posible. I really don't believe anyone would think he is now getting more business because the intersection was repaired. Besides, Beilke doesn't own the property anyways.

As the pictures show, these investigators took single boxes from these three locations. The one on the front page shows one officer leaving Beilke's home carrying a "single" box with one hand while the box dangles. Doesn't look very heavy to me? Contains computers, documents? Must not be very heavy or you would think the cardboard box would tear. Obviously they found nothing of substance.

And what does it say that Beilke "offered" access to his city hall office without a search warrant? That's not how criminals operate. When you have nothing to hide, you cooperate. Again, hardly the actions of a criminal I'd say.

I think that we as residents of Pico Rivera know that we have Beilke to thank for all the progress our great city has seen over the years. This is obviously an attemtp to smear Beilke before his upcoming reelection. Now is the time to remember how hard he has worked for us and the sacrifices he has made. We have seen him at countless city events all while he had a business to run and a family to care for.

I want Ron to know that we stand behind him and the majority of our good residents won't blink an eye when it comes to knowing who's behind this. Giving that Armenta's name appears everytime any smear of Beilke is reported speaks volumns. We can't go back to the days of Carlos Garcia, Pete Ramirez and John Chavez. We all saw what they did to our city. David Armenta has never done a darn thing for Pico Rivera. Let us NEVER forget his golf tournament where he claimed to be raising money for our school kids to go to college only to give them two stinking banners while he pocketed $14,000. Armenta is in politics only to line his pockets. Anyone who thinks that Beilke, who operates a very sucessful fast food restaurant and obviously earns a good living, is out to make fast buck like Armenta is crazy. Beilke has options, whereas Armenta is living day to day waiting for his parents to die. Sorry, but that's the truth. Can anyone say he has worked an honest day since he got on the council eight years ago?? I think that says it all.

If theses allagations turn out to be true they should investigate Archuleta and Gallegos and Fuentes. He brought them in. And they should ask Grace Nepolitano what she thinks ,she provided them with money for the city council races in 2007
