If you get any more f-ing stupid your gun-a-holic head will explode! The term “Assault Rifle originated from the german word “Sturmgewehr”. Assault rifles are the standard service rifles in any modern army to day.
The AR 15 has never been the standard service rifle in any modern army so we can conclude the AR 15 is not, nor has it ever been, an assault rifle.

According to your definition an M16 is not an assault rifle because it has selective fire and is not listed as a semi automatic rifle.

Lets bank criminals and crazies and sickness and corruptions, and deaths. It will surely work as long as we make laws banding it.

How about military basic training, or for use in the battlefields around the middle east?

Yes it has moron, under a different name M16! You can call them whatever you like, when a rifle is capable of killing or injuring 80 people in less than 60 seconds in a movie theater, call it ‘full’ call it ‘semi’— it's semantics and a mere technicality!!!

If I went nuts , I could do that with a standard pump action shotgun, the same type people go bird hunting with.
Shotguns I might add have a higher kill ratio then so called assault rifles.

The left is trying to solidify their control over the people. It has nothing to do with "saving lives".

Look at the places that have the strictest gun control. They also tightly regulate pepper spray and stun guns. Why regulate these non lethal methods of self defense?
