imagine if it wasnt a ploce officers son that got pulled over. it would still be going on and maybe it would be your truck they take just because they liked it .how would you feel? how many has went to jail under this jurisdiction? are they innocent. joey didnt have any drugs on him they proved him to be innocent. they wantred his truck. how dangerous ploice force are we living under? to think they could plant something on you and make you go away if you have a house or a truck or something they want. how pathetic? do they not have a conscience? i hope tyhe feds comes in and clean them up and get rid of the dirty ones. Thank God for jewell and Joey for fighting this. Sad that you have to go through this. But it will greatly benefit the rest of the community. If they did not have to go through this tragedy, who knmows what would happen. innocent people go to jail because they wanted the persons vehicle. so thankful for these two not giving up.

Its very true that are task force is dangerous to EVER citizen. They will do whatever to whoever if they have reason to want to.. Well, they used to. And yes it is about time someone fought them and proved what a bunch of incapable, dirty, low down criminals they are too.. I am glad they have been seen for what they are. and I am glad that they wont be victimizing anyone else. I just wish it was different people in this situation. because every one that knows Joey knows that yes he indeed did sell drugs, and not just for a little while. He sold pills for a very long time.. And every one who knows him also knows that the case described is his "M.O." He pulled up to the people he was selling to in that big ol truck and dropped the pill off with them so they could pass it on to whoever was there waiting for it. Then he left. It would very much look like it did the day they arrested him. NO they did NOT (I Suppose) have enough evidence to convict him. But they did have enough to arrest him. He had the marked money. They had him with the money and the testimony from the couple saying he sold it to them. I guess the jury wasn't convinced. Ok.. that should of been it. They should have given the vehicle back. But they KNEW he was REALLY selling drugs and decided to keep it, even though it wasn't even his.. They are very dirty.. But so is he.

Osbourne was found guilty of:

Criminal facilitation.

A person is guilty of criminal facilitation when, acting with knowledge that another
person is committing or intends to commit a crime, he engages in conduct which
knowingly provides such person with means or opportunity for the commission of
the crime and
which in fact aids such person to commit the crime.

So when is that truck that was used in the facilitation of the crime going up on the auction block?

Rumor has it the only reason why little Pat Boggs reported all this is because he wants the task force gone so he and his deputies can be the heroes of the community for ridding the dope peddlers out of the county. Which means more money his office can use (since the task force isn't around and the state, as well as the DEA, gives more money to communities with rampant drug problems) to buy airplanes, helicopters, military surplus, and firearms. He may be a good sheriff to some, but he's like his fellow brethren in LE; crooked as a snake if they see the slightest opportunity to be so without getting caught.
But that's what a little bird said so who knows.

With a Board of Directors of at least 16 upstanding individuals many being officers of the law or holding offices throughout the Buffalo Trace area one would think that someone other than a new member would have caught on to Fegans operation as it only took Sheriff Boggs a short amount of time to do so. I would suggest that someone discharge all those board of directors of the Drug Task Force and find others that might do their job to protect the taxpayers. The school board allows a superintendent to steal for many, many years without any oversight, the Drug Task Force board allows Fegan to get aways with thousands, Buffalo Trace Development board operates in ways not allowed by the State of Kentucky (some BRD board members are on the Drug Task Force Board) and in most all cases board members are not brought to task for their lack of attention to their appointed jobs. Most likely we as taxpayers are allowing all these board members and nice check each month and not holding them accountable for their lack of attention to their jobs. One would think that many, many others working with and around Fegan would know what he was doing, even his fellow drug task force members and the Mason County Court and Prosecutors who defended all his cases.

Fegan was indicted two weeks ago dummies. The task force will be disbanded at the next board mtg. With this mess, the school mess and everything else, someone needs to look at that buf trace development ofc. There's definitely something going on there and they get so much more money. All these same boards all have the same members. They're all in it together, buncha satan loving thieves.

We are better off that the Buffalo Trace Narcotics Task Force will be defunct. Liberty wins at last! Confiscation is nothing more than a legal means of stealing. Organized crime is a dangerous occupation because the government hates competition.

And no, I am not a druggie, just a small government libertarian-minded patriot who believes it's stupid to spend so much blood and treasure to keep fools from killing themselves.

Why didn't the Ledger-Independent break this story?
Why was it the Montgomery County prosecutor and not the Mason County Attorney doing the investigation? Why, why, why.

The whole Amy Baker debacle showed what a bunch of yahoos we have running this town. Dragging a witness with immunity from Ohio to Maysville so that she could be sentanced to - wait for it- PROBATION -on the taxpayers dime was so ridiculous it made national news. It proved to not be a stepping stone to state office that perhaps some had hoped for but rather an obstacle to it.

Baker was offered probation in an attempt to get a plea from her, but Judge Lewis Nichols dropped the charges altogether in 2008.

Yes, it was interesting in the Baker case that Judge Stockton Wood recused himself because of his close ties to Estill. It almost seems like all the other defendants that faced the Wood/Estill combo could claim those those ties perhaps undermined the impartiality of their trials as well. Maybe that's why they try to get almost everyone to take a plea deal.
