Let's not make it a "Black-White Thing," it's a "Wrong-Right Thing."

These people wouldn't be in office if the people of color didn't help put them there!

I WAS a resident of Evergreen many years ago and moving was the BEST thing that ever happened to me, just wish I had moved sooner.

I have watched the elections in Evergreen and every time an honest person would run, the people would put the same old crooks back in office. In my opinion, a good example of this, Sheriff Booker and Mayor Fluker, enough said.

The best advise I can give you, stop putting people in office that you think is going to give YOU something for nothing. Elect someone that will work for ALL the people of Evergreen.

How can you keep making the SAME mistakes and expect DIFFERENT results, wise up and do what is right!

When I lived and worked with the Police Dept. We always had friction with Fluker and that got worse once he became Mayor. I am glad he had his turn and nothing improved. Drugs are rampant there also and the good ole boy politics will always be. I remember being on a high speed chase and when I showed up to court I found out the case had been non-processed? When I opened my business there I was sued frivously and lost because of the John Brock. When I had to collect on bad accounts I trusted my self and my .45 to get the job done and it worked. I drive through Evergreen sometimes and notice how slowly it is dying. Even the local high risk loan office has closed. Evergreen is a nanny state town and without the gov't money coming in it will not survive. No Obama miracle will sove that. My favorite thing about to do while I lived there was LEAVING!

I agree, the best thing I ever did in Evergreen is LEAVE. It is a racist little town that's going nowhere. It is a place stuck in time. The Brocks have always been crooks. I can remember the old man called "Shorty Brock" when he used to be shariff. He was a crock and the family was full of crooks. The city is as devided today as it was the day I left. There is no growth, and the longtime racist groups like the Pooles and Knud Neilsens continue to keep those people in chains. It really is sad.

I can remember growing up in living in Evergreen. I look back on it and can hardly remember anything really good from the Black people of the White people. The whites were all racist. They just didn't know any better, they learned it from their parents. Even the ones we went to school with, sure they acted like they were friendly but when they got together, the openly used racial disparaging language. You know the "N" word and others. It's what they were taught. Even the blacks people there, they were no help. They were backwards and afraid to challenge anything. The teachers in school didn't teach most of the black kids anything. I made it out of there by the grace of God and a strong grandfather. Yes I was glad I left, and even if I come back through today, I never spend the night. I HATE Evergreen Alabama. Someone should burn down the whole place!
