Is Scalia Too Biased to Judge Upcoming Marriage Cases

George Takei is kind of a hero of mine. Yes, I'm a total Star Trek geek. But's it not because of his role as Hikaru Sulu.

Of course Scalia is biased, but there's no way he's going to recuse himself, and no one - not even the Chief Justice- can force him to sit out a case.
Recussal is 100% voluntary.
Based upon his public comments, he should.

You are completely correct.

You assume that everyone who supports equality is gay, moron. There's no conflation of anything. It is about people's right to exist. Keep putting lipstick on that pig.

Right, that explains how we got over 50% of voters in 4 states to support equal rights in the last election.
Any more attempts to shift the blame for your bigotry?
I don't know why anyone should care. Gay people have been marrying in my state since last year. The sky didn't fall.

We don't "intentionally conflate" the issues. We don't need to. They aren't separate, but unified in US.

Really..? Then why is it that you lump them all together when it's convenient to your argument? I can see how don't like to be called a bigot, it must hurt. POS

I'm sure that the homosexual mind is incapable of separating the issues. That's why the homosexual mind was described by Freud as "intractable".
A normal person can be accepting of homosexuality, yet be capable of discerning the dangers that homosexual marriage and homosexual parenting present to society.

It is the gays that do the lumping.

Freud was full of dogmatic crap.

Discernment requires experiences. Care to share some of those, or are you confusing imagining with facts again?

Let me quote from my post #14 to explain where your 50% support came from:
"It also illustrates the homosexual tactic of negative motivation; they don't earn support by presenting any positives, they simply discourage their detractors with the use of negatives."
Nope, still don't buy it.

If we only discouraged our detractors, they'd simply not vote on the issue.

Keep denying the reality that more & more people actually support marriage equality every year.

Personally I don't care HOW we win the votes; the only thing which matters is we DID win all 4 votes.

Sure, they're the same people who were "accepting of blacks", but were able to discern the dangers that inter-racial marriage and inter-racial parenting presented to society.......

Spin your bigotry however you like.

We insult Scalia because he is a homophobe.

He is a homophobe because of the faulty logic of his rulings and public statements.

No

It's much simpler than that,

You would like to reduce this to a difference of opinion but the reality is that gays lives are being attacked and maligned and anti-gay's opinions are being attacked and maligned.

It's not the same.
