Is Scalia Too Biased to Judge Upcoming Marriage Cases

Of course Scalia is biased, but there's no way he's going to recuse himself, and no one - not even the Chief Justice- can force him to sit out a case.

Recussal is 100% voluntary.

He's biased, vigorously so against gay people, as he has admitted. He should recuse himself.

But he won't, because he's biased, and vigorously so against gay people.

Scalia is the Vatican's vote on the Court. He won't recuse himself any sooner than the pope would recuse himself from making his biased and bigoted statements against gay people.

What is there to "disagree" about?

Either you believe people should be free to make their own decisions about their love life and their partners, or you believe that they should NOT be free to make these decisions.

Sorry if you "disagree" with freedom, but there are many labels that are very appropriate for a person like that.

Stop hating gay people simply because they ARE gay people, and maybe you'll hear less of that word.

Go out and meet a person, and when THAT PERSON wrongs you in some way, then you'll have reason to hate THAT PERSON. But when you unload a dumptruck of hatred onto ALL gay people, and make the assumption that all gay people are exactly alike, and that we all share traits which you hate, then you're being a bigot. What "positives" do we need? Only one, as far as I can see.

Freedom. As in: You have the freedom to chart the course of your own life, and to determine who will share that life with you.

You SHOULD have that freedom. And I should have it, too. I should not be made into a social outcast for exercising it.

If you don't feel that homosexuality is right for you, then don't engage in it. If you don't feel right about a man marrying another man, then don't do it.

There is nothing "negative" in telling you to live your own life, and to stop presuming to tell others that they should live theirs according to whatever values you propose.

Right, that explains how we got over 50% of voters in 4 states to support equal rights in the last election.

Feel free to provide evidence of her bias with regards to the subject of contraceptives. She didn't rule on the merits of the case; the plaintiff can still continue with the appeal. How is that biased?
