They used the laws to take the guns from everyone , not just illegals you ass. you just keep pushing lies.
That's like whining they used the laws to take the marijuana from everyone, not just the illegals.

They only took guns from those who possed guns in violation of the law.

If you violate the law that makes you a criminal.

If you don't like the law, then get it changed.

Really?
We've had various forms of gun registry in America since our founding.
When have guns been siezed from law abiding citizens?
New Orleans shortly after hericane Katrina. Over 1000 firearms confiscated from law abiding citizens.

That was during a "state of public health emergency" (Louisiana's version of martial law) and had nothing to do with gun registry laws as was the claim being made. Constituional rights can be suspended during martial law.

Again, show a link between gun registration leading to confiscation from law abiding citizens.

They still confiscated guns from legal gun owners. Gun registration will simply make it easier to find the legal gun owners the next time the government decides it wants to take them away. BTW, N.O. agreed to return the firearms rather then having the law suit filed by the NRA play out. Wonder why. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/20... It is not the link you are looking for but it does show that the government, in this case a city government, has confiscated guns from legal gun owners.

Ummmm, no they didn't. They only took guns from those who illegally possesed them in violation of the law.

Simply put ... most Americans will NEVER stand by and let that happen.

Over 20 states have refused to update their background check databases to include mental patients barred from buying firearms, many are also derelict in updating criminal records to the system, allowing convicted criminals to pass background checks. Thsi is done to purposefully create major flaws in a very effective system that bars unqualified persons from legally obtaining firearms. Under the Obama administration, prosecution of folks that lie on federal forms attempting to buy a gun but rejected by the NICS, are down by 40%. That means straw buyers/criminals face little or no repercussion if they (illegally) try to obtain a firearm from a store, even though the store reports 100% of these incidents via the NICS.
How will more restrictions help anything if the current laws are not being enforced? More idiotic regulations just means more bureaucratic mess and makes criminals out of law abiding citizens.
