<quoted text> This is what I'm talking about... The government is giving your people half a million dollars to not beat your spouses, yet you sit here and say the country to going to He'll because of the government. I don't disagree that this country is in a bad place in many aspects, and I do concede that there are many other Americans of all races who believe that as well. BUT, I see your rants about the "dirty diseased white people" and I'm curious as to the actual basis of your rant. Do you think half a million dollars should go to the Res to stop domestic violence? And if you do, then is it not true that the "dirty white people" are giving you this money? I see this coming full circle, Natives want the money, and are fine with receiving it, but still refuse as a general group to respect and not be counter racist towards white people. Once again, I'm making a statement based on a generalization, not on every individual.
A lot of the things you talk about are in fact provided by the tribe not u.s anything. Where are you getting your facts from? There are less native American ppl than most others which makes it easy to define a whole race based on a few people, which is what most people on this site do. I like debating with people like you..not so foulminded and can provide sensable arguements without slandering a whole race of people who as a majority want to live the way we used to..do me a favor, look up my culture and tell me where our people messed up enough for the white man to invade, destroy, and self proclaim our land..not to mention the many diseases they brought from Europe.Which was in fact one of the only reasons your people became victorious. Not to say modern technology is a bad thing but in some ways it is. Am I wrong?

The Casino employees will not get a Christmas bonus it is a shame that they aren't because the people that have been there for years look forward to the bonus to shop for little ones I am so mad about this when a employee only gets 100.00 or 200.00 how can it break the Casino OH it's the addition they made! Selfish and greed.

here is the long and short of it. I can't explain, nor will I attempt to explain what was going on in the heads of explorers and conquers in the 1400's, 1500's, 1600's and etc... Colonization was a big thing back then, and expanding countries and kingdoms was important as well. Reading through history I don't think it was necessarily a personal attack on your people, it may have been more of a country and nation gain for different countries in Europe. The Aztecs, incas, and Mayans had very similar difficulties, slavery, cultural genocide, murder, exposure to foreign diseases, the list goes on. The same thing happened in Africa upon its colonization. By no means am I saying that any of this colinization and historical mayhem were right. Unfortunately the path to hell is paved with good intentions, and I believe that was where European colinization started... Good intentions. At the end of the day, I personally didn't perform cultural genocide nor did I attempt to kill of your entire race. It sucks what happened, I'm not taking away from that, but it has happened to many other cultures and races since yours, and it is still happening now. They are not receiving anything, they were told to get over it and move on. I believe at this juncture in the US' history, we should be able to move on as we'll.

Ok..I don't think anybody knows what your point is here. I'm aware of what happened and thats not the half of it. You seem to be talking out of your ass now. No offense intended. I still don't know why all these people think they have the right to talk down on a Native american, especially the way the people of massena do on the internet

the problem with our country is we spend too much time on the history of what happened, instead of dealing with the current situations of today. many things have happened in our history, good and bad. doesn't mean we cannot do better, or make improvements for our current times.

I was responding back to your post about your people and your history. Anyway, I'm not concerned with history lessons. My main thesis and argument I have been centralizing towards is, no race or culture should get special funds or treatment. What happened in the past is in the past, let's move on, and be done with it. Our country is in massive amounts of debt and we need to penny pinch in every area possible. By the way, I definitely do not talk out of my ass about anything, that is disgusting.

You can't look forward in this case, without looking back at the history. If you were to educate yourself on the inhumanities and genocide that were inflicted on native people you'd see that what was taken away can NEVER be replaced or given back. The money native americans see from the government is a small token of the priceless debt that is owed. The fact is, we ( Onkwehonwe ) were here, living off the lands in simplicity ( as we should STILL be doing ) when white settlers came and decided it was theirs to conquer. They did so by stripping native people of their culture. Making them ( beating, raping, mentally abusing ) conform to the white mans ways. Today, we live in a dirty, dirty world and it's not because of anything the " indians " did.

"For the love of power and money", That should be the slogan for the USA. Canada's not far behind on that one though. You say your country is in massive amounts of debts....do you blame the Indians for that too?? Like I said, we get a small portion of the pie, take a good look at where the rest of the money goes, the money your country is in debt over. Be mad at the larger end of the spectrum, not the minority.

Right now, there is a "Idle No More" movement going on which started in Canada and has reached across this planet, in a very short period via internet media. Check it out. It's time we stop fighting each other and fight the real enemy, GOVERNMENTS.

Take a few minutes to watch this video if you will. I warn you, it's full of "f" bombs, but this is a NON native woman, who sees the big picture.
