Felony charges dropped for child driver's dad in fatal ATV accident

With all of the REAL cases of child abuse in the country, I can't believe this case was even prosecuted.

The social services investigation, initiated after the tragic accident, reported that all children were safe.
To protect children in the future, perhaps Colorado legislators should consider safety laws for ATVs. Other states have them - eg "Chandler's Law" in South Carolina.
"Diezel's Law" would face opposition from those in rural areas who use ATVs on family farms. Currently, there are no ATV safety laws in Colorado. And Sterling is currently considering allowing ATVs to be driven on city streets.
This case should never have been prosecuted, IMO.
A tragic accident is one thing, unfounded allegations of child abuse are another.
