Makes me realize how blessed and thankful I am to have wonderful parents......

It's really hard for me to wrap my brain around this....how a parent could allow, let alone be responsible for, their own child's sexual and drug abuse.

Sick.

I feel sorry for the young girl. But I guess having no mom around would be better than having a mom that will encourage her to use drugs and have sex at the ripe, ol' age of....13. So sad.

What a sick and awful thing to do. I hope she gets hers while she is in prison.

I can't believe the father of the convicted woman thinks her sentence should have been less! She got what she deserves and I think she should deserve worse! Maybe he was an abuser also and doesn't realize the severity of this offense! I'm beyond disgusted...

So a woman can kill someone and only get probation, and then this happens and this woman gets 15-39 years? That just doesn't add up. Don't get me wrong, this is a horrible and sick story, but it just seems fitting for a murderer to do jail time.

Unfortunately people can't seem to get pass the race label. Yes, she was an "irresponsible and uncaring mother." Yes, she needs to spend a lot and a lot of time in prison. She in fact murdered her daughter innocence which she will never get back and the damage she has caused to her psychologically, physically, and emotionally will take many years to heal. Yes, the sentence is appropriate.

Rehab??? for something like this should be thee DEATH PENALTY.( for the mother and boyfriend BOTH ).

The Bulk of Crime in New Mexico, IS crimes like this, that simply go non reported.

Matter of fact, the Leading cause of child death in New Mexico just always happens to be causeed by:

1. the mother's boyfriend, or significant other.

or 2. by the mother herself.

Reason is, in New Mexico the State does not believe children should ever really have contact with their father.

Thus what happens is the mothers get a shot of dope from a dopey boyfriend.

Then the District judges restrict contact with the children's real father ( because the dopey mother claims..there's something wrong with the father, which REALLY means he's not dopey!)

Then the system comes in and offloads the children from mother later on dope charges.

Then the State of cousre gets more and more children ( No one bothering to find the father, the State of course forgets this on purpose).

Thus the State ends up with more and more Fed money for those CYFD & DHS social service deals.

Typical America really. And people wonder how particular courts in certain States end up adopting out 80 to 100 children ALL supposedly headed to the same household in places like France.

Jeez.

Kudo's District Attorney Rick Tedrow for asking for the
maximun 39 years.

Shame on Judge Haynes, for the 15 year sentence.

Looks like San Juan County can look forward to little justice until 2014 when Haynes's term end.

This is a good case for making District Judge terms in
in New Mexico, 4 years instead of 6. we need to remove
these bleeding hearts from the beanch.

So where is your daughter going to go? With you? Did you know her mom was using meth? Did you know that your daughter was dating the guy before her mom started dating him? He is sick. I can't believe a 24 year old would allow a 13 year old to perform sexual acts on him. Disgusting.

seriously. this loving, concerned mother saw that 'change' was heading in our direction. she knew that jobs would be scarce, so she was lovingly preparing her daughter for a blossoming career in the skin trade. after all, her father wasn't offering his concern, was he? happy, happy home. light 'er up!!
