One of the comments struck me:

If only a business owner, ideally gay, would refuse to serve mixed “color” couples based on that being contrary to their religious faith that requires separation of tribes, with the couple refused service being Mrs and Justice Thomas.

Imagine the conservative outrage over gay bigots targeting fine conservatives like the Honorable Thomas’s. And the triple outrage that a damned gay would justify it with the Bible interpreted like Virginians did until they decided they like Clarence for his votes.

Good one, "Rick".

That's a good point. Maybe a collection can be taken and a professional hired. There'll have to be bonuses and a very large tip included. Oh, and a blindfold for the professional.

Those poor, persecuted christianists. Forced by threat of law to treat customers equally. The poor baker may be FORCED to bake a cake for a gay wedding. The poor persecuted photographer may be FORCED to take pictures. The poor, poor things.

Compare and contrast their persecution to that of the boy in Chile who is losing his leg due to a crowd of homo-hating thugs. Or any of the numerous examples of gay-bashing in this country.

Mr. Perkins, please get back to us when one of your poor persecuted listeners actually suffers physical assault because of their beliefs and their failure to follow the law.

These bigots are just not too bright. If I were going to discriminate against someone, I wouldn't be as overt as they appear to be. So, it's not that they want to just discriminate, they want to make a public point of it, which is liable to get them into legal trouble. And their lawyers are not very good if they don't explain the odds, and the losses if the court finds against them. They should turn around and sue the lawyers who were stupid enough to take the case. Or better yet, don't discriminate in the first place. Take the money and shut up.

That's because when I did discriminate (in renting apartments and houses) I was very careful how I did it. I didn't rent to straight people, because at that time (70's and 80's) gay people, for the most part, did not have children.
