You are now the undisputed champion of spreading spectacular bullshit or simply too f-ing stupid to understand reality as not the same as your fucked up right-wing ideology. How anyone in their right mind, which you are clearly not, could compare the modern economy with the economy of the early days of the Union is beyond even the most ignorant and moronic troglodyte. The US did not become the leading industrial power until the 20th century. The modern American economy traces its roots to the quest of European settlers for economic gain in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. The New World then progressed from a marginally successful colonial economy to a small, independent farming economy and, eventually, to a highly complex industrial economy. The history of welfare in the U.S. started long before the government welfare programs we know were created. In the early days of the United States, the colonies imported the British Poor Laws. These laws made a distinction between those who were unable to work due to their age or physical health and those who were able-bodied but unemployed. The former group was assisted with cash or alternative forms of help from the government. The latter group was given public service employment in workhouses.
In other words, they worked for the government. They didn't live as well or better than the working people. Today, you financially do better on welfare than you do working. The reason they had the able-bodied people work is so it didn't end up like what we have today.

What recovery? There is no recovery. Name one thing they did or said that destroyed this so-called recovery.

DumBama is the most anti-business President in our lifetime. The only thing he knows is spend more and get less. You sheep are something else. Your left-wing brainwashers say something, and you just believe it without question. Worse than that, you repeat the lies like a mindless parrot.

No, it's fact. And if you care to debate me, I'll be happy to provide proof. People on the dole eat better, live in suburban housing, have better medical care, and have larger families than many working. They have AC, video games, big screen televisions, cars, modern appliances, and just about everything else working families have.

Which is why half the people in our nation live partially or entirely off of taxpayers.

Years ago, I worked with a guy who was a dedicated employee. We worked 50 hours a week or better. His wife worked at a convenience store. Together, they were able to raise a family in a nice middle-class suburb.

His wife was working with a black woman and complained how hard she and her husband had to work to have a decent lifestyle. Her coworker replied "Do what I did. Go to welfare and tell them that your husband left you alone with the kids. You can still work and collect welfare and food stamps. The government can't check whether he left you or not."

The thing is, the coworkers husband worked at Chrysler. He made a great living, and his wife collected welfare while she worked. She was correct. Nobody in the government checks out these things. They just take the applicants word for it and start printing out checks.
