Gun stores in Charlotte County have experienced increased sales since Election Day as local gun owners brace for an anticipated restriction of gun laws following the re-election of President Barack Obama.

An intelligent Democrat? Lmao! That's an Oxymoron!
The only Intelligent Democrats are the ones that don't believe the propaganda they preach, but simply know they will benefit from the rest of you dumb asses buying into it, and following along like zombies.
Where is there anything in that post referring to Bush, or an invasion?
You change the subject completely in order to deflect and detract.
That's correct son. You were talking about "intelligence."

So was I.

What's the problem?

So here we have the rightwingnuz hypocrites spouting off about “murder by drones”, the latest flavor of rightwing talking-points, but had no qualms about sending hundreds of thousands of US and allied soldiers to facing their deaths in the ME. Drones have killed hundreds of terrorist leaders and at the same time saved thousands of US lives. Drones, as well as other robotics, offer huge advantages regarding the effectiveness of our military and human rights. On the military effectiveness side of the ledger, the logic of developments in weaponry that increase one’s own lethality—allowing targeting at the highly individualized level—while protecting one’s forces, may not persuade a pacifist, but it will move commanders, who have missions to accomplish, and who have a fundamental obligation to their own troops not to expose them to undue risk. The US military is not going to take a hands-off approach to states like Libya, Pakistan and Yemen, where law enforcement is not a feasible option. Drone warfare permits a highly calibrated military response to situations in which the alternative may involve not lesser but far greater uses of military violence – but then, you already know that!!
People in the military have not been drafted in decades. They are there willingly. They know their job is to be put in harms way if the need arises.
US Citizens that are simply accused of being a terrorist being taken out by drones without trial by jury, is a completely different story. But then you liberals don't understand that concept. As highlighted by your lack of understanding the difference between conservatives supporting the death penalty for murderers but not supporting abortion.

Huh? Is that your own argument or did your five year old come up with it? Which US citizen falsely accused of terrorism has been taken out? Just out of fairness - have you served your country?

He invaded a country for no reason, causing tens of thousands of civilian deaths and over 4,400+ dead troops not to mention the cost.

What part of any of this is intelligent son?

So a f-ing s.o.b. like you who wants an assault-rifle in ever hand of every man, woman and child is now, out of the blue, supporting the ACLU and CCR because Obama kills terrorist using drones?

Is that the only reply you have, for everyone who disagrees with you? I've noticed you are quite redundant with it.

So your stance is, if it has not happened, it can never happen? At one time there had never been a mass shooting in a Gun Free Zone. At one time there had never been an auto accident. At one time there had never been a black president. At one time the stock market had never crashed. At one time people thought the second amendment could not be infringed. How long has this drone thing been in effect?

Wow! Talk about blinded tunnel vision! You can't be dumb enough to believe because a falsely accused citizen hasn't been taken out yet, that it will never happen. Aren't you liberals always talking about, "it's worth it if it will save just one life"? Well the time to do something is before that life is taken.

I registered with the selective service. I have not served in the military. Does that make me less American? Less worthy of freedom and liberty? Less deserving than a minority? Why do you ask?

What is your proof he had no reason? Deaths occur in war. Is one more intelligent than another? Your tangent is irrelevant to the topic that was being discussed.

Typical of a California Liberal. Open with an insult, because you have nothing of substance to say.
Hey everybody, don't you want to follow liberal California's lead into the future? I mean, citizens losing freedoms. Cities going bankrupt. Their population moving to your state trying the same methods that ruined their state and made them want to move in the first place.
What's the definition of insanity again?

How about the disadvantages such as drones can't get information from those terrorist leaders that Bush's military did? Remember that the Bin Laden execution was done on ground and not by drone. The advantage there is they got a lot of information out of his computer and wife. I wonder how many American lives that information saved?

The predatory gun industry is the only unregulated manufacturer of a consumer product that is specifically made to kill, with a level of secrecy that makes the tobacco industry look like a model of transparency. The real story behind the steady rise in gun violence in America, argues is the systematic increase in lethality of guns by manufacturers. Over the last two decades the gun industry has dramatically increased the killing power of its products; designed and distributed guns with more ammunition and greater conceal-ability; and aggressively sought to build a wider market by collaborating with the "gun-media" and by targeting women and minorities as vital new consumers.

Where do you get your statistics from? Gun violence is down in the US and has been on a decline for the past couple of decades. This goes hand-in-hand with the decrease in gun ownership in the US as well.

Actually, they ARE idiots because they justified their demands for Social Security by self-righteously saying that its their money. They're so dumb they don't know how it works. Intelligent people laugh at them, but of course conservative idiots defend them, since they identify with them.
Of course it's their own money and they do want it back. What's wrong with that?

The right knows darn well SS is nothing but a Ponzi scheme that will eventually have a nation of losers down the road. They forced us into this ridiculous program that pries money out of our pockets and our employers to fund a losing program that politicians have borrowed and stole from for years.

Had we been allowed to take the same SS contributions and handle it ourselves such as putting that money in a conservative growth fund, we would not only have more when we retire, but probably be able to retire early.

Many can't do that now so sure they want what was promised to them while they contributed to the no-growth fund all of their lives.

Not exactly something to brag about, the US has the highest rate of gun ownership in the world by far, it has also the highest rate of homicides among any advanced countries. Even while gun crime has been declining and gun ownership increases.
