During the course of history, it seems that Korea and Turkey had an established trading relationship for centuries. This is not a new thing that Korea and Turkey have. It seems that culturally, there may be some link between the two. In a deeper level, there may be connections of the two cultures as linguists suggest that both the Turkish and Korean languages are descended from the Altaic family of languages like Mongolian. The Turkic language and dialects did spread through Central Asia towards Afghanistan and Mongolia.

This is good for Korea as they establish cultural and business links with a country that is located between the Middle East, Europe and Central Asia.
