what is wrong with people these days, it is a proven fact that we, myself included, don't pay enough attention to the road when we are driving. Hope everyone is going to be alright, and praying for a speedy recovery.

Does anyone have any news on the victims? I will say a prayer for them. I hope they will be OK.

I like that WBIR is referring to car crashes as "crashes" instead of "accidents." "Accidents" suggest that it just happened through no fault of the driver when, in fact, 98%(I'm guessing) of all car crashes is the result of carelessness or poor decisions.

This was around 3:00AM right? Well there is a well known hang out at this intersection that is basically a bar/pool hall. SO people go there drink and then go next door to the Waffle House at this time of morning. They did not release any info about the victims could mean some of them were drunk at that lead to the accident. This is just an observation of things that appear to go on around this intersection at this time of night.

I ain't goin to say it but that road is like one dangerous place to be. Specially at 3 AM. There ain't noone who can tell me that drivn there is all peaches and candy. Those peoples ought to watch out better when they are standing on the road. Excuse me but that dude who droved his car through all of them ought to get a ticket. Just remember we are all Gods children. Pray for the poor sick and cheap.

The "bar/pool hall" in question at that location is generally not open that late on a Tuesday night, or any night during the week.

It seems to me that we never hear any good news. It is accidents, rapes, or killings. This country needs to come back to God and trust Him to take care of us. Yes, and we who do not drive motorcycles need to be more careful. It is hard to see a motorcycle. They need more reflectors to make it easier to see them. When a driver is caught driving drunk, he/she should be taken to jail. Same with those who talk on cell phones. If you want to drink, stay home and drink. If you want to talk on a cell phone, pull off to the road and talk. My prayers are with the ones involved in the accidents and their families. May God be with all of them.

Too many folks these days do not treat driving like the focused activity it should be. People need to be attentive and remember that they aren't the only person on the road. One small mistake or one moment of distraction and someone could end up dead.
Cars can be weapons, folks. Be careful out there.

No, but the Waffle House is open 24/7. So by the time their drunk a$$es leave the "deli" and eat some splattered, smothered and covered they still aren't sober. Then they get into their cars and drive half-buzzed or whatever.

As a moderator of a popular message board I was alerted to this scene. I was able to arrive there around 5:45 am and the scene was still occupied with several police cars. It's my guess that someone died there this morning.

You have NO idea that is what happened...Save your venom and wait for the story to be completed by someone who KNOWS what happened and not by someone who is SPECULATING.... I also suggest you write ONLY when you know what you are talking about

Whatever. I have lived on Lovell Rd for years. Sometimes I travel out of town early enough to pass through this intersection around this time of night. It is always full of cars and people. BTW... I think I have the right to free speech. So I will say whatever is on my mind. This forum is open to opinions as well as to those like you who want to control others thoughts and words. Does Nashville not have any forums for you to chat in?

I totally agree with you there. I read online news from TN, and that's all I read about anymore, is accidents, shooting, killings, what is wrong with people these days. I do agree its hard to see when a motorcycle is involved, but if the car lights and motorcycle had lights on, its called keep your eyes on the road. I hope there is a speedy recovery for all those injuried, and the car that drove thru the accident, you need to WAKE UP, AND WATCH WHAT IS IN FRONT OF YOU. YOU NEED A TICKET AND SOME JAIL TIME.

I'm sick of it and something needs to be done!!!
bout evey vehicle I pass has a cell phone in their ear or a dog in their lap that they're hastling with! If it's not that then it's drugs or alcohol!!!! What about all of us innocent people who's out there driving without any of thee things affecting us?? I guess we're just the victims!

Driving drunk, Driving on pain meds or drugs, talking on phone while driving, texting while driving, reading while driving, putting on make up while driving, eating while driving and some of us just chewing gum and driving. These are just some of the offenses I think should be punishable by tickets or jail time when applicable. JMO It is hard for people to behave responsibly when they are not held accountable for their actions.

WATE is giving the names of the victims. And NO.... No one was Killed!!!... You are a moron. And why and who are you to be called to the scene??..Get a life dude and make sure you write what you know, not what you think in your small little mind. I hope all were resonsible pay and those who were INJURED will recover quickly. Drunk, sober, incoherent, whatever, people do not pay attention to what is going on. Even if the defendents were drunk, doesn't matter. They were in Knoxville and all they will get is a spanking, handed back their licence and sent on their way to do it all over again. So what if it was 3:00 AM. My husband has to be at work at 2:00 AM and less than 2 years ago and drunk hit my husband head on on Emery Rd while trying to pass on a double yellow line. Then calls someone on his cell phone to call and pick him up. Leaves the scene with my husbands truck lying on its top and him bleeding. Go into the city of Knoxville and reports his car stolen. Knox Co did arrest him about 18 later. But when we went to court (after 2 postponments). It was continued for 3 months after the jerk pleaded not guilty...After discussing with the Prosocuter with Knox, we desided to go to trail. Guess what?? The guy never spent a minute in jail, paid us our insurance deductable (which we recieved 16 months later)and let loose to do again. And of course, he ad no insurance. So these guys who were involved in this mornings "crash" will end up not getting a thing and the victims will pay ...WATCH and see. America....Love it

I would not just pick on the deli..........remember Cotton Eyed Joes is around the corner....I just hope this was just a freak accident...not someone drinking. Prayers to all involved...even people helping in this accident because all of them have seen a accident and things like this take a toll on people after witnessing something tragic.

Sometimes it's difficult to see because of glare from all the bright lights. What appears to be a clear path is sometimes obscured by glare. The new Hall of Fame Drive has some glare problems with the now LED traffic lights. When the light is green, the glare makes it difficult to see beyond the light. Someone need to adjust the light for day/night operations. I was told this can be done.

Hey Dumb A$$. I just cut and pasted this from the latest news site.
Deputies say Craft fled to a nearby truck stop after the first crash. She is charged with driving under the influence, implied consent violation, leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to yield the right of way, and failure to provide information and render aid.

Warren is charged with driving under the influence and violation of the open container law.
SO I WAS CORRECT.....
