I live in Farragut! Moved here from the North! The friends I work with assumed I was some sort of ignorant arrogant rude snob, because I live in Farragut! I finally proved them wrong and have made some good friends, out side of Farragut! I have lived in Farragut now for over 20 years and have exactly 3 friends, that will even speak to me & my family!
To this day I have never met such nasty snobby, rude arrogant people as live in Farragut! There are actually 2 ladies that walk almost on a daily basis past my house in their fancy designer jogging suits, I have tried to just say hello to these two and they actually stick their noses up in the air and walk right past me as if I am not even there...they will even stop their own conversation before that pass by and honest to goodness these 2 nasty women actually stick their noses up in the air, once they get passed me the noses come down & they continue their talking! No one ever speaks in this area unless they know for sure if you are wealthy and influential ....I had no clue people could be so snobby and I moved here from a "for real" high class area that puts Farragut to shame. I guess the South was really based on arrogance!

Odds are that those 2 women are also northern transplants, just like you. Hence the snobbery.

Farragut starting going downhil circa 1988 when people from northern Virginia began moving here en masse. Since then it's been a windfall of yankees and the place is unrecognizable. You deserve the misery you people impose upon each other.

The first wave of you ('88-'93) were the most disgusting. The women were short, dumpy and always had that look on their faces like they were ready to argue about something. Their husbands looked like adult Harry Potters and seemed perpetually emasculated. Kids were equally ugly and like mom and dad, had no personality.

Its funny how they lived in such big expensive homes, yet drove cars like late model Ford Aerospace and Saturn's and dressed like JC Penney. Even with their attitudes they weren't fooling anyone. The sad part is that too many gained a foothold and turned Farragut into an ugly crappie that resembles whatever northern town they came from.

So...Farragut is the 5th best city to live...in the 50th worst state in the country?

More meth addicts, more morbidly obese people, more welfare babies, more high school dropouts, more unwed mothers, more air and water pollution, more concealed hand guns...than any state in the country.

Something to be proud of.

If you didn't live here when Farragut was Concord and our area code was 615, then you aren't really "Farragut". Go back to Virginia.

So? Maybe you lived out in the sticks or something. Or maybe you spent all of your time wishing that you were back in Ohio to notice Farragut.
