Their is more to this story than is being told. Kids today at an early age are exposed to sexual situations in ads, TV and video games...and many parents condone it. Why did some 1st graders tell me about the movie SAW III the other day? Some 3rd graders were bragging about playing Grand Theft Auto. A 15 year old told me she had to drive her mother home the other day because her mother was too drunk to drive. Get a clue folks...it isn't 1950 anymore. This kid probably buried his face in her chest thinking it was funny because he either saw his parents doing it or saw it on MTV, YouTube or an R rated movie. Yes he should be reprimanded, but they need to look at the parents as well.
Now feel free to tear me up and say teachers suck. I'm used to hearing it in the media. Have fun.
I agree with Bubba, You're about as sick as the teacher who told on this kid!! Where do you work that you have contact with a first grader, third grader, and a 15 year old!! That is elementry and highschool ages!! I have never heard of a teacher like you before. You are probably as full of crap as the assistant who thought a 4 year old was coming on to her.. That is RIDICULOUS!!!! Your right the principal is the one who suspends a child. IF you are a teacher and not a liar, then you should know the principal don't suspend a child without a teacher sending the child to him/her with the problem OR he/she sees the action him or herself!! Your right there is alot of bad parents around, but there is alot of perverts who are turned on by children!! IF this teacher was bothered by this, then she is the one with the problem!! Not the child!!!!

Teacher, If you will notice your the ONLY IDIOT who believes this 4 year old meant something by this!! I have been thinking about this, I bet you're the stupid assistant that did this!! Figure out the difference between a real man and a child!!

A four year old child is still a toddler. I am sure the little one was only showing affection. God forbid, the woman get a hug from a first grader, she might go in to cardiac arrest!!!

How will you defend yourself when that nasty Kid from kindergarten gets in a “Cheap Feel” as they brush against you during their hurried way to the playground. You may want to start checking their shoes, as you know most of them put mirrors on their shoes so that they can look up your dress. Better yet, you just quit and stay out of public, everyone’s after your body

Six years old is old enough to be taught the difference between good touch and bad touch. This also applies to the ways he touches others, not just the way others touch him.
A touch is different than a hug, DUMMY!! ALSO, A 6 year old should not be told when they give someone a hug that they better be careful where a body part may or may not be!! You sound as ignorant as the ass....istant

"DUMMY"? Sounds like YOU are functioning on a six year old's level. A six year old is old enough to be taught appropriate behavior. Nuzzling women's breasts is NOT appropriate behavior. You are a prime example of overly permissive parents who think everything their child does is "cute", no matter how inappropriate it is to society.

Before I get crucified by everyone out there, I believe there is a big difference in the maturity and developmental levels of a six and four year old.

I am not for sure why a 6 year old got brought up in this anyway!!#1. A 4 year old is NOT as TALL as an adult!!#2. When a 4 year old hugs an adult they hug them at the level they are at!! I am pretty sure this child did not stand on their tippy toes OR jump just to be boob level to the perverted teacher!!!!!!!!!!
#3... No, a 6 year old and 4 year old is NOT a BIG difference. Yes, there is some but not a big difference. Last but not least, There is a BIG difference between inapprpriate behavior and a HUG!!! I am sorry for calling you a dummy. That was not very nice, but it really makes me mad that anyone would think that this little boy was being anything but sweet!! If you think that a 4 or even a 6 year old gives you a hug and their little head just happens to be at your breast that they being inappropriate OR If anything sexual comes to mind over this, then the person who took it that way has a big problem GET HELP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!!! IF, it was a problem with you then I think there should be a better way of handling this besides suspending the child. This little boy probably will never be loveable again and it is all the cause of a teacher's assistant who is a pervert!!!

Ok a 4 yr old...stands what...3 maybe 3 1/2 feet tall? The avg sized female is what...5'4 - 5'7? If this aide was so worried about this small child, why was the breast area offered to him? I guess thank God she just didnt stand there...the child would be accused of grabbing her butt.....gezzz as far as this "A Teacher" postings from Madisonville , I truely hope my children doesnt ever have you as a teacher. Teachers are to be people that a child can turn to for comfort when away from home. This was a 4 yr old child for Christ sake!! And I agree with the "Future Teacher" unless admin was standing right there...someone turned this child in...This poor child hasnt even made 1st grade yet!!!! I guess children shouldnt hug police officers, firemen, nurses, doctors, preachers or thier local teachers now.......YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!

I work in an elementary school and I am hugged several times each day/week by loving caring students from Kindergarten up to 4th grade. I am also pushed against in the hall, bumped into, and occasionally poked with books and backpacks. Except for the hugs, everything else is accidental. It is all taken in stride though because if you work with young children you should expect contact. Hugs are just that, hugs. They are not dirty or inappropriate. I have never felt violated or shocked when a young child expresses his emotions with a hug. School can be a very scary place for the children. They are not with their famimilies and are surrounded by strangers and a "herd" of other children. We adults should be there for them the same way their parents are and hugs are just a natural consequence of this relationship.

I never said anything about who suspended him, so I'm not sure why you're attacking me on that issue. For the administration to find out about this, someone had to have reported it, unless administration was standing right there as it happened.
Big Brother is EVERYWHERE...of course, except around the corner where the 4th grader is beating up the kindergartner for their lunch money, or getting sexual favors from the 6th grader. This is a pitiful excuse for our educational system. Go teach. Let the 4 yr. old hug his teacher. There is not enough innocent love and showing of affection. That is what is wrong with the world today. This administration should be ashamed of themselves for even addressing this with such magnitude. Go educate a child and shut up about this gargage.

Well, seeing as it's Sunday I won't be doing any educating until tomorrow...

You must have me confused with someone else. I defended that kid. I know that hugs are just hugs and that sometimes you might have a face in your bosom simply due to height differences. I've never received a hug from a child and thought that it was inappropriate in nature.

I do agree that kids (of any age) probably see and hear more than they should. However, I can not believe that this child was suspended for something so innocent. Makes you wonder what was going thru this woman's mind for her to read something sexual into it. If the child had SAID something inappropriate to her, it would be a different story.

Just wondering if anyone knows this woman's age?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think an aid has to have any training. They are just there to help the teacher. This is no excuse, but this woman could be right out of high school or even the mother of another student.

I guess I'm just trying to think of a logical reason for an illogical allegation.

You do make some good points. It isn't 1950, and children are exposed to much more than we were at that age. You are also right, we don't have the full story. Given all of that, I still do not believe that a 4yr old would know the difference. Sometimes a hug is just a hug. It's very sad that this family is going through this STUPID battle, If it were me, this school would be talking to my attorney.
