And we wonder why the US is full of sexual offenders. We, as a people, are bad examples for our children. We think the human form is something to be ashamed about when its not. A hug from a child should be treasured. 4 year olds do not have any idea that a hug could be considered "wrong". Why? Because its not. I hope this prude of a teachers aid was reassigned to some prison school where she can truly understand what bad behavior is. This child should NOT have been punished. He was showing love and affection for someone he no doubt respected up until this point.

Who accused him? The news story does not say. However, this is completely stupid. No 4 year old is going to mean any thing sexual by hugging. He may have been rubbing his face against his teacher but HE DID NOT mean anything by it. He is a kid. He was just hugging someone he thought it was ok to hug. And he was told. Now, his parents have to explain things to him that he should have no idea what means.
It's a shame that adults are so stupid that they would expose a 4 year old to such ignorance.

my question is what was the teachers aide thinking that made that feel sexual to her -- maybe she is the one with the problem -- a child that young only knows to love and now is being punished for it. do they want all our children to be emotionless drones. i would sue the school. this is absoulutely ridiculous that child is a baby

I think this aid has the problem!! This child is 4 years old and probably had no idea what he was doing. This teacher must have had bad thoughts to even think about this being bad!! The teacher aid is the one who needs to loose her job!! She apparently lacks the difference between a real man and a child. SICK SICK SICK WOMAN!!!

I agree with the majority. My first thought was that it sounds like the aide has the problem. Or else she wanted to get her 15 minutes.....

Ugh, I am "inappropriately touched" by my kids about a billion times a day! I couldn't count how many times kids graze private parts of my body while giving me hugs and when I come in close contact with them. It happens!

the more i read this the more it p*sses me off. the is ridiculous. now this kid sits at home and wonders why hugging is wrong -- i am afraid to send my son to school when he is old enough to go -- he hugs and kisses everyone. he is the most lovable child in the world -- am i now supposed to tell him this is wrong. that teachers aide needs to find a new career. or at least one not dealing with small children. i mean what was she expecting from a small child. would she have done the same thing if she was hugged by a little girl instead of a boy? i mean come on the parents that send their children to that school should rally against this -- i know i would

I am so glad everyone seems to be on the same side on this issue. Maybe the school will see through her lies, and get rid of her before its too late!!

Their is more to this story than is being told. Kids today at an early age are exposed to sexual situations in ads, TV and video games...and many parents condone it. Why did some 1st graders tell me about the movie SAW III the other day? Some 3rd graders were bragging about playing Grand Theft Auto. A 15 year old told me she had to drive her mother home the other day because her mother was too drunk to drive. Get a clue folks...it isn't 1950 anymore. This kid probably buried his face in her chest thinking it was funny because he either saw his parents doing it or saw it on MTV, YouTube or an R rated movie. Yes he should be reprimanded, but they need to look at the parents as well.

Now feel free to tear me up and say teachers suck. I'm used to hearing it in the media. Have fun.

I agree that kids are definitely exposed to a lot more now a days then they were even just a decade ago. However, just because that kid may have seen that type of behavior before (remember "motorboat" from Wedding Crashers?) doesn't mean that he understands what it means. Especially at age four--kids at that age copy everything they see and hear and they don't always know what it means.

I understand he was 4. The teacher did NOT suspend him...the administration did. Teachers are not allowed to suspend students. Get a clue. Let me know me how things are going after you have taught for AT LEAST 3 years.

Children from different socio-economic situations will not act innocent and caring if they are not treated the same way. They may not understand it and are copying bad behavior, but they should still understand it is wrong. Don't you reprimand your child if they do inappropriate things?

if you dont like your job dont be a teacher -- if you can honestly say you thought that child meant that in a sexual manner -- not that the child at that age even understand sexual urges or anything involving it - maybe people who overreact to everything are the problem. maybe you read to much into things -- it was a four year old child for heavens sake. if it had been a girl would you be acting the same way -- here is some advice : stay at home and dont come around people ever -- dont want someone to bump into and cause you to spin into a tissy. you are full of crap

Where did you read I didn't like my job? Did you even read my other posts? If a girl 4 years old did something like that to an adult man, it is up to the administration to make a decision. As I said before, teachers are NOT allowed to suspend students. As for being in a tissy, I believe you take the honors.

You are a very sick person, I feel for you, you have read "Chicken Little" a time or two too many times. The school employee needs to be dismissed as well as you. You are too busy looking for the rapist, molester lurking in the classroom. How will you defend yourself when that nasty Kid from kindergarten gets in a “Cheap Feel” as they brush against you during their hurried way to the playground. You may want to start checking their shoes, as you know most of them put mirrors on their shoes so that they can look up your dress. Better yet, you just quit and stay out of public, everyone’s after your body

I never said anything about who suspended him, so I'm not sure why you're attacking me on that issue. For the administration to find out about this, someone had to have reported it, unless administration was standing right there as it happened.

Six years old is old enough to be taught the difference between good touch and bad touch. This also applies to the ways he touches others, not just the way others touch him.
