Really hate that I can't listen to Coast to Coast now. I start work early AM and it was always interesting and kept my attention. As for the Drive, it was my favorite sports show. Maybe not as nitty gritty as some, but a hell of a lot better than Doc, Jeff, and Heather's stupid asses. They were funny as hell and my age and I just got them. This sucks.

Do we really need another country music station? Every other station is already country. I hope it goes bankrupt quickly.

Sports talk in this town is the absolute pits.
If you want to fall asleep...listen to Chris Treece.
If you want to get a good laugh for misinformation and stupid people giving their shockingly uneducated opinion on non-sports stuff, it's Doc, Jeff and HH.
Most boring guests on local shows, Jerry Colquitt, Dr. Punch, Rocky Goode, Tennis hour, golf hour. Gee,four of the five belong to Hyams.
Most irritating callers: Josh, Jim from Illinois, Coalfield Herman, Goober that calls about recruiting every day.
Best host in town: Clone...and it's not even close.

I for one will miss this station! I love talk radio. True, the drive was boring. But, Bob and Ed in the mornings was a hoot!!!!

I would love to know the thinking of the "Genius" who decided to buy WNOX and then change the format. It started with nothing about 3 years ago and became the NO 1 talk show station in Ktown. It was sold for 6 Million so it must have been making money. Really miss Ed and Bob. The genius who made this decision may lose his 6 Million when no one listens to ANOTHER country station.

Johnny Pirkle started 100.3 40 years ago. He owns it 100%. Do the math, he is well over retirement ago. He kept it 4 decades. He decided to sell. It's just business.

What big changes are coming to sports radio?
I still miss "JT the brick show" that was on overnight on 99.1--it was a FoxSports network show.

I have the same concerns about Coast to Coast! I can listen to it on Nashville station 1510 AM, though it does present some fade, in-and-out, depending on weather conditions.

Knoxville radio sucks now! no Coast to Coast, no talk radio at night, can't pick up nothing but country on the dial. Seems they have put a muzzle on dissent in Knoxville? Daytime 98.7 but after the sun goes down.........dead air!....but the PBS stations are pumping junk as usual.

Just 45 minutes from Knox and spotty reception on AM. I was glad to hear they were going back to FM, but it's reception is even worse.

Well, it's 2015 now, and Coast to Coast AM is alive and well on 94.3 FM, wnfz. That Station comes in well for me in Knoxville. knoxtalkradio.com The original master of late night talk radio, Art Bell, has a show that streams live on Dark Matter radio. I sometimes listen directly from his website or using TuneIn Radio, but the streaming uses up my mobile data too quickly. I don't have a computer at this time. Hope y'all are good.
