Just find a person in your neighborhood that you could help. Unfortunately, there will be more between now and Christmas that try to pull this kind of scam with some of the details changed. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. I find this absolutely gut-busting funny! Call the cops and tell them what exactly? Some woman you don't know is on the internet asking for charity information for christmas for her children? That is actually funny! What? Call the charities and tell them the same thing? Print threads? You are so funny! Just what exactly is anyone going to do about a thread on topics? Absolutely nothing! Some people actually have a heart around Christmas time, apparently not you! Thats fine. Only God can judge you! I am going down? How exactly am I going down? Do you know how stupid that sounds? Why don't you send me that list of charities that you have? I could use a little bit of information! Thank you so much baby girl! I will be tlaking to you a little later!

Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. I agree that Christmas is a time for giving. I try to remember the bible verse where is says, and this is paraphrasing...If you help ten people and only one of those ten really needed the help then you have helped one of God's children. Of course there will be people who ask for things when they really don't need it. Beggers on the street, etc. But there are truly people in need and there is no way to tell if they are genuine. I have offered to help her (him) and my offer was very nicely refused. I don't see where that makes this person a scammer.

I never once asked for money, toys, or clothing on topix. I only asked for information on local charities or churches that would be helping low inome families. I am by far not a scammer. There are just way too many people that like to put people down and trash talk them because they don't care. I would be it is because they are suffering deep inside too and just too ashamed to tell it. Thank you for everything!

I already posted this on here but it was removed, as were some others that I posted. If the topix moderators are going to remove posts that are in no way offensive and leave posts up that are horrible to others then this place isn't worth it. We have a freedom of speech...unless topix doesn't like it?? Right...

Pink Scam
La Follette, TN

PrettyInPink likes to quote Bible verses, but on other forums she tries to tear down men who goes to church. She has a vendetta against two men and continually slanders them by making up stories about child abuse. She refuses to tell her name or go to the authorities to report what she professes to know. I'd be cautious when dealing with this person. She likes to hide behind her computer screen and scam everyone she can and then turns around and tells lies about them.

I have no clue what you are talking about. there is someone posing as me, but that imposter doesn't do a very good job trying to copy my way of typing. Ive never once slandered anyone, never once used bad language, nor do i have any clue about anyone abusing any children. If by chance there was a thread about child abuse, there is absolutely no way to know if its true or not, especially if you don't know the person in question, which i am sure I don't. I would never go to the law and make up such a story on an innocent man. These are real peoples lives that YOU ALL are trying to destory. You all need to be careful, I promise god will judge you, you will not get away with trying to ruin innocent people. I will pray for every one of you all. Please try to get a better hobby, I know its campbell county but that is no reason what so ever in trying to cause drama that can ruin an innocent persons life.

Christmas when poor
Knoxville, TN
|
I work and manage to pay my bills with very little left over. I've already told my kids and extended family that holiday gifts will be ones that cost little or nothing. I would love to spend hundreds on my kids especially but I can't. What they have is pretty much the basic necessities and I'm very thankful for it. Its not the end of the world if kids don't get multiple christmas presents.

People pose as others on here all the time. It too easy to change your posting name, which is why I registered. So people would know me from the ones using the same name as me. There is no shame in asking for help when you really need it. No, it is not necessary for a child to have multiple presents under the tree but it's hard to explain to a young one why Santa visited other children and not him or her. Older children might understand but a young one...it would be very sad if they did not have a couple of presents to open.

Amen. I am sorry that so many have no compassion, sympathy, or empathy out there. Very sad, especially during the holidays. I hope your family's Christmas is full of joy and love! PrettyinPink wrote: Thank you to everyone who has given me information on places to check out for christmas. It is really appreciated! For those of you people who are heartless.. this is for you.
And i will clear this up for you before you even say it.. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.( Which I do work, not sitting here moochin) And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God (Matthew 19.24 KJV bible) For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command you, saying, You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor, and to your needy, in your land. Deuteronomy 15:11 If there be among you a poor man of one of your brothers within any of your gates in your land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your poor brother: Deuteronomy 15:7 He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker: but he that honors him has mercy on the poor. Proverbs 14:31 He that gives to the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse. Proverbs 28:27 He that gives to the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse. Proverbs 28:27 Better is the poor that walks in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool. II Thessalonians 3:10 Now shall I keep going on or do you get my point? Now shall I keep going on or do you get my point? Seems to me the way you talk and look down on someone in a rough spot that you have no clue about our Lords word. If you did, you would have love in your heart. I am not asking for money, I am not asking for hand outs. I am merely asking for some information on some different charities that would help me out 1 time so that my child that I love so much can have something under the tree liek your family will have this year. I don't care if you look down on me, but my child hasn't done anything. It's not her fault that my company shut down due to the bad economy, its not my childs fault we have a house payment, electric payment, water payment, sewage payment, car payment, daycare payment, phone payments, Food that we buy so he has something to eat. Its not my childs fault that while we were out of work we had to take the christmas money we saved to pay the bills and its going to take a little longer to get everything aught up so we don't loose our house, water, electric, car, or phones. From the time that we were at home searching for jobs we were home more so we had to buy more food than normal. Our jobs provide our lunch. Reguardless, its not my childs fault that we are trying our best to make sure needs are met..

You've offended so many people that it could have been anyone doing that. And you are right, you DID verbally assault him being the bully you are. The thing is, at the end of the day or the end of your life, the only person you have hurt by saying the things you do, is yourself.

I do not know what made me stop and read this. However, the people that are commenting on here that are so ugly and heartless really do need to go back to the Bible and know just how much this kind of attitude hurts our heavenly father. I was taught at a very young age (I am now 60) to give to others and to treat others the way I would want to be treated. We were never well off but it did not matter when Christmas came we made it a point to find someone less fortunate and buy them gifts before we bought any for our family. To this day the ones of us that are still alive do this tradition as best we can afford. Giving these people happiness was the best presents that I have ever received. Even when we were children we would get excitied to go buy presents for people. All we got ourselves was one toy,one piece of clothing an apple and an orange from Santa and that was it, no parents presents and we thought we were the luckiest kids ever. The feeling you get from giving unselfishly is such a wonderful gift. You give with a clean heart and it does not matter whether the receiver really needs or "deserves" it. God said :When you do it to the least of these you do unto me." I would gladly help these folks if I did not have someone else I had promised. I am laid off. Lost my job of over 20 years due to economic reasons but it still would not be Christmas it I could not help someone else. My Christmas wish/prayer is that we can join hands together and love each other as we love ourselves.

Look. I somewhat know what this person is going through. My husband and I have a 11 month old little girl who won't get to have a good first Christmas. Its not my husbands fault that he can't find a job and everytime he does get a jon he gets laid off a few months later. We can't even live in our own place because we don't have the money. So I don't wanna hear people judge others until you know there situation.
