Charged with attempted murder???? I know those boys need chastizing and severe punishment for making a list of their enemies to "kill". You don't do that in today's world.

But, to charge them with attempted murder???? Get real!!!!

i don't understand why the law can charge these kids with attempted murder i no a man that shot a teenage boy and all they charged him with was capias and the young boy is having alot of trouble from where he got shot but i guess that is morgan county law for you i don't think that they should charge these boys with attempted murder

How would you feel if your child's name was on that list? These days you can't assume that just because the children were 10, that they wouldn't follow through with the threat.

Whether my child's name was on a list or not, making such a list does not meet the statutory definition of attempted murder. We have lost our minds on this crap! I suppose if the kids had included a stick figure with a gun drawn, they would have added the 10 years federal charge for felony while in possession of a gun.

Having a childs' name on a list as one who is a targeted enemy? I would wonder why anyone would want to harm my child. It is a chilling thought and I would want to investigate for sure.

If the guilty child belonged to me, I would feel like a parent who has a problem with a 10 year old who made a mistake and needs to be aware of the "rules" and "restrictions" in todays dangerous world. However, to charge a child with ATTEMPTED MURDER? A note is not a weapon. I did not read anywhere that the these children behaved in an aggressive manner. This "conviction" is overkill!!

Charging these kids with attempted murder is the equivalent of criminalizing thought. I'm not defending what the kids did, but if all they did was make a list, then no attempted murder took place. This violates everything our country and our constitution stands for. If these charges are allowed to stand, it will only pave the way for more abuse of power. This sort of mentality is exactly what Orwell was writing about in "1984", a book about a dystopian society where even thinking about committing a crime would result in your arrest and torture.
