Not all daycare centers are horrible places. My son is in daycare and I love everyone that works with him. I know he is taken care of and I know when I drop him off I do not have to worry about him. It is a matter of doing your homework when you have no other choice. If you have stayed home with your children and never experienced daycare then how can you say all daycares are awful?

First of all....I dont know who you think you are...and you obviously wrote this because you wanted attention........you knew that your little post would make people mad and get people going (just like you have me)
I am a stay at home mother. I never put down working moms. I give them hats off. I stay at home with my 3 children because if I did work I would be giving my ENTIRE paycheck to daycare providers. Not only do I stay at home for that reason, but I also stay home because I dont trust daycare workers. Ive heard way too many stories. I dont want to take a chance on someone taping a pacifier to my babies mouth....or someone letting my baby get out of the center and walk down a busy road...I could go on and on.
How dare you say that being a stay at home mom/wife is not a job. Have you ever did it? My husband works long and hard to support his family, so that means 12 hours a day I am here in house with 3 children. I have no social life, I'm lonely and my daily conversations are mostly about "why do farts stink and Sponge Bob Square Pants"..........You wouldnt know how mentally difficult that is because you have never did it before. Its very isolating!!! Second...have you ever or do you do the following: Get up at 6:30am, fix your 3 children a hot meal, get all three of them dressed, change your two year olds diaper, make sure homework is in backpacks, make sure your kids have their backpacks, load all 3 into the car, drive 2 of them to school, come home and take a 2 year old to the potty every 30 minutes so you can get her trained, clean up poop off of all the furniture you own because your 2 year old isnt potty trained yet, clean your house on a daily basis, and I mean scrub tubs, mop, sweep, vaccum, dust, clean glass,laundry, scrub toilets and when thats all done, do you go and pick up your 2 school aged children, come home start homework with BOTH of them, while cooking dinner and dealing with your 2 year old throwing a tantrum in the middle of the kitchen floor, after dinner do you give 3 kids a bath, lay out their school clothes, help them brush their teeth, read to them, put them to bed.......and then.....start cleaning the mess that they made when they came home from school that you had already cleaned up before they even got home????? DO YOU DO ANY OF THIS? HAVE YOU EVER DID ANY OF THIS?? BECAUSE IF YOU HAVENT THEN YOU SHOULD TRY IT BEFORE YOU SAY HORRIBLE THINGS ABOUT MOTHERS WHO STAY AT HOME WITH THEIR CHILDREN!!!
As for moms who sit on their asses and eat bon bons...well let me tell you......thats not me, and thats not a majority of stay at home moms. You shouldnt sterotype stay at home moms if you have never lived in their shoes or never even met one. Oh and if you have met one and it was a "bad stay at home mom"......dont let that influence you to judge all stay at home moms as women who sit on their asses and eat bon bons..........thats ridiculous.
Youre just a jerk or some b*t*h who doesnt have a clue. I can promise you that being a stay at home mom is harder than SOME jobs out there. Its physically and mentally stressful. Until youve tried it dont knock it pal........and stop sterotyping stay at home moms based off of one bad stay at home mom........I'll tell you right now I am NONE of the things you mentioned in your post. i worked there in 96,97,98 .my child was in her care and i was at the infant center i would go pick up my 5 and 4 yr old children and my son 4 yrs old would be in a high chair sitting in a corner.com e to find out that had been happening alot .well thta day was the last day i worked there and the last my children went there. she was over child ratios alot . i would have to leave my classroom to cook there food mind you they were left alone while i did this. i am sooo surprised she has not been shut down before this . and them being a three star daycare now thats a joke!!!!!!

Things like you observed should have been reported to DCS. There is no telling how many children were abused. It seems they were running it like a kennel and not a day care. I guess people like the mother of this child was just happy to get away from her child for a few hours a day, you can tell that by her attitude,

I think it is disgusting that anyone would do this to a child. We are good christian people so we will pray that the 2 workers dont get the crap beat out of them when they go to prison. Although we are christians I have to say this is one time I would loose my christianity and pray that GOD will forgive me later. I think the mother of the child has lost her mind for defending the day care. These are GODS children that is why he made parents to defend their CHILD.

You know what, any good director/owner of a daycare center will know what is going on in the rooms during the day. Maybe not every minute, but this poor baby was not taped up for one minute.
I used to work for a daycare center, in the infant rooms. I know that my director peeked her head in often. Not only did she check in to see if we needed anything (bathroom breaks, a quiet moment, or just to walk outside the room), but she would check the babies also. She knew just how many were there and just how many were in the room when she poked her head in. She could hear the babies crying from down the hall, and if one cried for too long, she would come check and see why. If she needed to, she would even help out.
I cannot understand how these two women could tape this baby's mouth and the director/owner not know. I do not understand how the parent's can stand behind her. I do not understand how this could happen in today's society. This is sick, and the director/owner is just as much as fault as the two women who worked in the infant room. It was the director/owner's responsibility to do background checks on the employees. It was her responsibility to know the people who were caring for those babies. Those babies were her responsibility and she let them and their parents down. The worker should have known better, but the owner should have known who they were hiring!!!

I've had my own bad experiences with a day care ..My grandbaby was left alone 1X in a changing room/bathroom..She was about 8-9 months old..She was standing up on a changing table..It was about 3 to 3 & 1/2 ft off the floor..It was a tile floor..That was the last time that day care had MY grand baby!! They claim they for got her!! How the hell do you do that!!She could have been HURT BAD luckly she didn't fall!!She was standing in the corner of this table crying!! My Daughter and I raised Hell!! They acted like we were in the wrong for being Upset!!After that. My daughter went to work days the daddy worked nites and I being Gramma picked up the afternoons..One dropped her off and a few hours later the other picked her up!! This child is now 11yrs.old and hasn't seen a day Care since she was 8-9 months old!!I wish this would work for others like it has us!! Thou I'm sure there are some good Day Cares out there they are far to few for those who have to work,,I wish you the best luck in hunting them down!!

That's odd, she was charged with the offense. So basically the police had enough evidence to charge her but you say she didn't do it. I guess the police and DHS are all lying, right?

It boils down to this, they are all at fault period. As an Employer, Kim T. is resposible for her employees actions. She hired them, di the background checks, reference checks and trained them. As the Employer, she is resposible for ensuring the States' policies and her business policies are being strictly followed.

As far as Kim B. and Angela G. go, they both need to to be held accountable for their poor judgement and treatment of that infant.

For those of you who "support" all these people, you are just as guilty of poor judgement as they are. Your loyalty to them is worth more than the fact that THEY abused, neglected and emotionally damaged a 4 month old child. Not to mention the risk of death they put the child in. Infants do "spit up", they cry and their noses stuff up. What if the child had aspirated on it's own spit up or suffocated due to lack of air from a stuffed up nose-BECAUSE IT HAD A PACIFIER TAPED IN IT'S MOUTH AND IT COULD NOT BE SPIT OUT.

You supporters make me sick, it's okay if they say they didn't do it. At least that's what you say. A tip led DHS there, so someone else has seen it. DHS knows they did it. The Police charged them with the crime so they know they did it too. Your loyalty to these people are apparently more important than that infants life.

I have read mostly all of the comments everyone has posted about the day care. I feel like most of you do. The people involved should face child abuse charges, the past complaints should be made public,Some kind of background check should be made avilable via the state for a daycare before a person can be hired. As far as mothers being concerned about their childs care in what ever day care the use, then I have a SOLUTION.
If a daycare is really good, has great employees,and nothing to hide,Then we have a system that can be put in place in any daycaer center wether a in home or commercial daycare that uses video cameras that record digitally for playback of what went on that prior week if needed, that uses a water mark on the video that is allowed in court as evediance. Also the parent can from their work, open internet explorer and type in the address and their own password to the day care and see LIVE what is going on and look in on their child. So the crux of the situation is, a good daycare would have archived video of prior dates if anything should arrise, and the parent would have piece of mind being able to check in on the daycare and their child.
