I sit back and laugh at all of the people going crazy of this stuff just because they saw the new shows on Tv. Good luck to you all, you know what they say about a fool and his money. Some make money, some break even, some loos their A$$, you cant say you werent warned..........

It's like the TV show about" flipping" houses in a short time and making lots of money. Far too many were influenced by this show and second mortgaged their homes and maxed out credit cards to try this and they got in over their heads and lost their asses! It's like going to Vegas. Don't gamble with money you don't have or can't afford to lose...... On the storage auctions, do you think that show might be a bit staged with the same people over and over???? Hummmmmmmm. All I have ever seen at one of these auctions is somebody's junk and garbage not worth hauling home. The auctioneer is the only one I've seen make any money. Maybe California is a different market.

We went to a storage unit auction in Maryville. Thanks to the TV shows, about 20 people showed up. Four units turned into one, after three people paid up. That one went for $600 to a guy who does it for a living. The way things on top were piled in a slope, and a Norman Rockwell type plate fell down and broke when the door was opened, we had the impression that things had already been gone through. The buyer was buddies with the auctioneer, popping the lock off with bolt cutters for him. The buyer jumped bidding straight from $450 to $600. It was like he knew what was in the boxes.

have gone to two where locks had already been removed and replaced with seals. Someone had gone through most all the boxes between the lock being removed and the time they were sealed. Total waste of time.

Expect a lot of people's garbage. Since the TV show came out, the delinquent lockers get searched after hours, new locks put on and put up for auction. Finding a treasure is congured up in Hollywood but it makes a show to fill dead air. Reality is right in there with wrestlin'.

Check the expiration dates on any pain pill bottles you find. If you have any doubts give them to me I'll test them for you. Or PS will relabel them for selling to her patients.

My favorite site for finding storage auctions is www.storagescouter.com . They have a bunch of storage auctions listed in my area and free weekly email alerts.

Where do you report stuff like this. They shouldn't be able to get away with it. There should be some laws against that type of behavior. Am I right?
