Is it legal for an employer to single out employees and take pictures of them without them knowing it? And then have them blown up to show to everybody. There is a sign at the gate of this company saying no cameras allowed. Can someone please answer this question for me, thanks.

Of course it's legal. You are on their property and are there by their permission. Are you afraid that taking your picture will steal your soul?

No, this is a very large plant that employees alot of people. Management there have been sneaking around getting out their cell phones taking pictures of the employees, and having the pictures blown up trying to get the employees into trouble. I just wanted to know if this was legal. I would appreciate any info, thanks. Like I said before, when you walk into the plant there is a sign stating no cameras allowed. The employees that they have taken pictures of are very good workers, and have been with the company for years. I think that the management jobs may be in trouble and this is a desparate attempt on their part to save their jobs.

The sign/rule does not apply to management.
They represent the owners interests.
There is No law that makes it illegal to photograph workers.
If the employees are breaking rules/agreements of employment, then they are the ones putting their jobs at risk.
Are the employees illegal aliens?
Are the management people illegal aliens?
Be glad that you do not work where EVERY move is video recorded.
Remember, there are ten Americans willing to do your job,,,and 200 illegals willing to do the same.

Why would u nd to take pictures of an employee if he or she is in the wrong. Just call that employee in and tell he or she what is not allowed. Besides taking pic with ones personal cell phone that the company is not payin for is not legal. And I do beleive the company needs to notify all employees of such acts. just sayin

What about those Judges who text from the bench. That is really scary. The accused are not getting a fair shot.

Nobody should be texting on the clock, especially a judge. Texting is the worst thing invented.
