I agree, teach the Bible, men and women have a way of discovering each other. People are not divorcing because of not knowing how to have sex, churches should be teaching people on how "not" to have sex outside of marriage!

You should hear their commercial on Love 89.1 that is putting other churches down.

What if a child checks the mail as they come in from School? I think this could have been handled much better.

This is totally inappropriate for a church. They may not have anyone show up for this because of the volatile nature of the invitations. There is so much sin in churches, including illicit sex, it would shock most people.

LOL,people get divorced all of the time over just that. One or the other is lousy in bed,so the partner finds it elsewhere. He/she gets caught...end of story.

This could be done without such a risque card and commercials. I think it is ridiculous - Kids already know enough without being exposed to something such as this. I know it is for adults but you can be assured that the children will get their hands on information somehow. If people can't be interested and know when something is wrong with their marriage - something like this is not going to get their attention.I know that this is in the Bible but not in the same way the minister is putting it. Shame - Shame

I do not wish to attend any type of "social" gathering to learn about sex-if your spouse leaves you over sex, they weren't really into the relationship anyway. This church is way out there to do something like this. I hope they never acquire my mailing address!!!!

I can tell from the comments that many of you should have heard Pastor Gene's sermon yesterday. It was terrific as usual. He is teaching what the Bible says about love and sex and in a very beautiful way. Where were all of you negative people in August when The Gathering gave away over 60,000 pounds of food, brand new shoes, blue jeans, school supplies, personal hygiene items, just to name a few items, to hundreds of locals who are less fortunate??? I didn't see any of your comments then but then again WBIR didn't pick up on that GREAT story. Everyone has to be so negative. How many of you are guilty of "spiritual adultery", wait, you probably don't know what it means. The Gathering is a learning church and many of you need to learn a lot. Every weekend we have over 1000 people on our campus learning the word of God. We must be doing something right. God Bless all of you.

I'm guessing you all are senior citizens. Things are they are because the church ISN'T involved. Why not just get back in your wheelchair and head on over to you local senior center.

According to the article, they found 1 person who had a comment.

My belief is that people get offended when they feel uncomfortable about a subject. Those that are uncomfortable are probably the ones that need to attend these classes the most.

Sex is a big part of marriage and anyone who states otherwise and references the Bible is a hypocrite.

Enjoy debating this one...If you are offended by a mailing that has class titles on how to grow sexually in a class taught by a church, then maybe you need to re-read that Bible.

Why don't you get back to the bible! You yourself are evidence that there is too much world in the church today! Just by your rotten attitude shows that you are not Christian!

Come on down to the Gathering. We have a gymnasium and lots of talk about red hot sex. there is a carwash Tuesday to raise money for our Softball team. And come on down Friday night for our big chili cook-off. If you think that churches spend too much time talking about all of that "God stuff" then The Gathering is the place for you. We are all people dealing with each other in a interpersonal way without all the Religiosity of other churches. So come on down on Singles night to the Gathering where our motto is "The Gathering- All of the pot luck dinners with none of the Dogma". The Gathering. If you can't hook up here, you'll never hook up at church.
I hope you find God one day, I certainly know that you're going to need Him!

well i'm a minister myself, and if GOD gave him that message then he needs to do it, people is going to put him down for that, but he needs to do what GOD says, first of all the problem with today's kids haveing sex at a young age, i blame the parents there is no supervision at home if there was they would be more family time at home.. but there's not. i'm not agreeing on what he done about the post cards but, that's between him and GOD not MAN..

Folks, you can either sit at home and stare at the walls or you can get out of the house for a change. You might even learn something.
