That was a great post by that person. That entire county is riff raff.
I have lived in Loudon County my whole life and I myself think I am a good person. With a comment like this maybe the riff-raff is an Farragut.

Ye without sin cast the first stone. How many of us has driven after a few beers? Where does it say it was his 2nd offense? I have known Bo all my life and he is a great person and loves kids. People make bad judgement calls, this is one.
Actually there are alot of people out here that even if they have had one beer they WILL NOT get behind the wheel. People get killed in this world everyday for drunk drivers. I believe it is called RESPONIBILITY and him being a teacher he should be.

That is so refreshing! I sure hope that you don't have any brats oops I mean children? Your obviously not the right person to be a teacher! I appreciate teachers and yes my children can misbehave on occasions but so don't most adults. Teachers have the most thankless jobs and you are real encouraging to the ones that do take care of our children daily!

If he was with children at the time of his arrest, I say string him up. Since he wasn't, let him be.

Hey GHS Parent, even Cynthia Finch supports the Lady Vols, but that does not excuse the actions of your drunken teachers.

The man is a teacher and a role model to the students he deals with daily, and this being, according to the article, his second offense, an even bigger issue I would have to agree that it would require action on the part of the school. I have not been there in some time and unless they have been torn down there are two memorials set up at the school dedicated to students who had died in car accidents. One of those happened to have been a very good friend of mine that I grew up with who was killed by a DRUNK DRIVER. If that memorial is still there then he has to see that every day.

Well I had the man in question as a teacher and do not doubt his ability to teach. I do agree that teachers need to be good role models for our children and he should not have been drinking and driving. However, his actions do not have to be followed by his students. The students' biggest role models should be the parents. After reading these posts it seems that some parents may not be good role models either. Are you teaching your children to talk down to others just because of where they live? What is your definition of a redneck? I think that before you begin to condemn others maybe you should look at yourself. I no longer live in the area but I am sure the people of LC are likewise glad they do not have to drive to Farragut to drink either.

We're sick and tired of the rednecks coming up here from there and polluting the area. We've seen enough cut off jeans and serbagos to last a lifetime. Thank the Lord you people finally can get a drink and don't come to our resturants as much. Farragut has finally won the war over the Dixie Lee area and we're making it respectable. No more XXX theaters. Stay down there !
I am glad you know who the LORD is. Now, since you have figured that out figure out you are no better than anybody else. I assure you our riches will be much better than yours in heaven!! WHY?? We know that we are ALL GOD"S children!! He loves us the same!! Since you think you are so much better, then you will be poor in the end!! So, keep your snotty nose in the air all you want NOW, because it won't last long!!

Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.
So remember we are not the judge. THANK GOD, this world would be in a much worse mess than it is in now.
I believe in Coach, he hasn't done anymore than others have at GHS. He just got caught. I wouldn't care to let my son play for him right now. I believe he has learned his lesson and is getting help and personally I think Loudon County Schools would be crazy not to hire him again.
Also, I wouldn't blame him if he sued the person who said he was drunk when he hit the house last year. There were no charges at all. His in-laws were in front of him, so I don't think he was drunk.

The man obviously needs help with his drinking problem. Even the folks in Greenback can't have someone watching over their young ones while he is hammered. Although THIS time no students were involved, can any one guarantee that next time? I believe in second chances, but not before someone puts out a little effort to help themselves first.

Where to start....this man is supposed to be setting an example for our students. so it wasn't on school property he is the baseball coach and those kids look up to him. he should lead by example. my son is on his team and I don't drink, don't condone it and would expect that someone who does would show some self control. if there are other teachers or county officials doning the same thing then they should be fired too. he was originally getting to finish out the year until it hit the news. they have a few good teachers in greenback but these kids are out in the middle of nowhere with not a whole lot to do and nothing close. teach them that drinking is okay and they will use it to fill their free time and get rid of boredom.
Since when is Greenback the middle of nowhere? Yea, there's not a whole lot to do in Greenback, but it's not even 15 minutes from Maryville.
