I used to work for Fantistic Sam's until they sold out to Cost Cutters. Sams's wanted quality and quanity, but Cost Cutters wants quanity and don't forget to push those procucts. The more you sell they more you make!$7.00/hr. and maybe an extra dollar or 2 if you push enough products. sell over $1000. in a payperiod and you would make a whopping $10.00/hr. Hello! You get what you pay for when you chose to go to those chain salons and pay their cheap prices. there isn't a good chain salon left in the Knoxville area.

I'm sorry I ever started this forum I actually thought I might let people know that great clips is a bad place to go and get a frigen hair cut. I understand that it is a cheaper place to go but you would think they could at least try and get it right. Not only did I not get a good hair cut and I did not get my hair shampooed like I asked but on my receipt I just looked at I was charged for it anyways. I'll stick to the old fashioned way of letting someone know how the service was by reporting it to the manager which I have never done usually I just let it go but not this time my hair cut is so bad I still can't believe it. One last thing before I go and never log onto this site again "GREAT CLIPS SUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKS AND SO DO THE PEOPLE ON THIS WEBSITE." Karma thank you for at least trying to stay on topic I appreciate it. Let your friends know that they should never go to great clips for any reason. Earl and Minuteman has let me know this is not the place for me I HATE A SMARTASS JUST AS BAD IF NOT WORSE THAN A BAD HAIR CUT.

hack job is right !!!@ they have no. pride in their work they sling you in and out and sure don't care what your hair looks like!! saying true you get what you pay for!!! if your smart go somewhere. else to get a good cut!!! they also have the trashy looking employees !!!

I worked for this company and I never gave anyone a hack job. I take pride in my work. It paid for my degree. The owners and management is the reason for high turnover most off the time. Sorry about your hair. Find someone you like and stick with them. You paid 6.99, what did you tip?

Why should anyone tip when they get a BAD CUT? The orginal poster was actually charged for ashampoo which she did not get so no matter what service field a person is in, they should not expect a tip if they do a half-a** job!
If I get half-way decent service, I leave a 20% or more tip but when it comes to a hairstylist, you usually get what you pay for and usually places like this or the Smartstyle's have some very questionable employees. Just never know what you may get and for every one good hairstylist, prob 3 bad ones.

well I . just wanted to post my experience with the cedar bluff store I . got a great hair cut their by a very nice young lady !! upon my return for my next hair cut I in turn ask for the same young lady big mistake when I ask for her the manger became rude and refused to answer my question about the young lady another stylist took me back for the service and informed me that at great clips its quantity not a quality cut !! the young lady that had done such a great job showed to care about her customers and this is not satisfactory to company policy !! needless to say I was appalled at this response !! because of the ugly behavior of the manger and the response to my question I will not patronize this business again !! word of advice customer service is a large part of customer retun !! your salon needs a knowledgeable manger and quality service !! you have neither one at this location !! thank you !

That was a very bad response about quantity vs quality. Obviously, they do not care about repeat business and one bad experiencewill not inly turn that customer away but their friends, family or people who hear these horror stories.

I can tell you one thing that manger at cedar bluff store is very unprofessional.she's rude and very hateful.. I want be back.thanks to her pitiful attitude.
