Did you ever wonder what truth could have come outin that murder trial if the authorities were not successful in getting Daniel to plea out?how does a man get 20 years for drugs and 15 for murder???
Incentives such as "only 15 years" which is the minimum)for 2nd degree murder is was was used to get him to plea out.
So what happened to the 1st degree murder charge you might ask? The authorities "wanted" it reduced to 2nd degree murder so they could give him the very minimum. These are the same authorities that call Daniel Hampton a monster. Is this what they offer monsters? Yes, it is!
I believe the plea deal was offered it to him by the authorities to keep certain information from coming out in trial that would not make them look good, and that would show were they put both Faye and her children in harms way in the course of their investigation of Hamption. During that investigation, Faye (a Victim of emotional and physical abuse) should not have been intimidated to be a snitch. And Daniel's mother who had custody of the children at the time should not have been allowed by the Dept. of Child Services to be living in Daniels house with all those guns and drugs. If the kids were not there, Faye would not have been there. She would have been with her kids.
Why was Daniel's mother ever given custody of the children anyway, and then allowed to remain living in the house with that monster?
Why wasn't Daniel arrested long before he was? If he was, Faye would not have been murdered by him.
The County of Roane does not appear to have wanted this and other facts to come out in a murder trial.
So a plea deal of 15 years on a second degree murder charge was the answer the authorities had for that monster, and to hell with justice for Faye and her family!
Meanwhile, O'Neal was sentenced to life in prison on a trumped up drug charge and is now waiting a trial date for the Aug. 2007 murder of Boone Cofer, that he and many others say he did not commit.
Boone Cofer was shot in the head 2 weeks before Daniel Hampton shot Faye in the head. Both murder victims were snitches for the cops. Daniel clearly shot Faye, but who killed Boone and why? Many locals said two guys bragged about it, including the girlfriends of both of them at the time.
Prior to these two murders a local corrupt judge was arrested on unrelated charges and sent to prison for a few years. A new Sheriff came on board and the old on was labeled "incompetent" by the administration when corrupt would probably have been a more accurate depiction. Everyone is suppose to forget about what all happened back then..., everyone except for O'Neal. O'Neal is expected to accept a false murder charge and every other judicial sabotage under the sun without proper legal counsel and be perfectly happy about it! LOL
You asked how did Hampton get 20 years for drugs and weapons and 15 for murder? I hope I have helped you to understand how that can happen.
Now I'm asking how O'Neal got life in prison for drugs? Then when the Fair Sentencing Act memo came done out of Congress in May 2009 to all federal prosecutors, Roane County charges him with murdering Boone when it does not appear that they even believe he murdered Boone Cofer. I believe they know who murdered Boone and they even arrested the two guys in 2009. But they indicted O'Neal. Such a violent crime would make O'Neal ineligible for any sentencing relief from the Fair Sentencing Act. How convenient was that? Very convenient!
I'm also asking how a murder charge can be held over his head to sabotage them on an appeal on the federal drug charge if O'Neal has never been taken to trial or found guilty of the murder charge?
It is unbelievable such things are allowed to occur. The judicial system in East Tennessee prompts a lot of questions in my mind!
With regard to Daniel Hampton's plea deal and sentence, that was just downright wrong! They should be ashamed!
