AVOID THIS PLACE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!

I wish their were a choice for "zero" stars. This is the worst experience that I've had at a nail salon. I went because I heard of their good quality of service, but the manager has horrible "bedside manner". I went in without nails and Joseph went on and on and on and on about my damaged nails. He wouldn't quit commenting---I even asked him multiple times to stop. He said this again in front of another customer and then also to my nail tech----VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I then got up to leave and while I was walking to the door, he told me loudly to GET OUT! I was in shock and didn't know what to say. If you want to be humiliated while patronizing this business, then this may be the place to you. I'm a good customer and a heavy tipper for quality work--their loss!

I agree!
Joseph is an arrogant and mean spirited bully. He doesn't care if he humiliates or embarrasses customers. Plenty of other locations. Avoid this place!

I've been there with Nancy many times. She's good but her boss is a jerk.
I don't know how she can work with him. She should find another salon.

Wow I can't believe these reviews! I have been going to LA Nails for almost a year now and would not even consider another salon - and believe me I have gone though several in Knox and Blount County. This is the first nail salon where the health of my nails was a priority - not to make money. Joseph is a sweet guy- he loves to kid and joke with his customers. I guess if you can't give as good as you get then no it's not the right place. I have worn acrylic for years and have had them ripped and soaked off to the point my own nails were damaged. With the care I have gotten here they are now healthy, and I can get them polished or pink/white and they are my NATURAL nails - not white tips glued on. This is the best salon in town - hands down. I will continue to go here for my nail needs.

I work at LA Nails and yes Hieu likes to joke around with his customers but he loves all of them and would do anything for them and his employees. His number one concern is with the health of his customers nails. I have seen him talk clients out of more expensive services because a cheaper option is better for them on several occasions. If you don't have a sense of humor and can't take a joke then this is NOT the place for you. If however you want to have nice looking healthy nails then I highly recommend you stop by. I can promise you that people don't come here from Chattanooga, Lexington Ky, or Nashville for their fill ins every two weeks for terrible nail service.

At L. A. Nails we actively work with our customers to ensure they have healthy nails. Unfortunately, this customer only wanted nails slapped on and no interaction. In good conscious I was hesitant to put new nails on because she had damaged her nails by ripping off her old set to save $5.00. This left her natural nails thin and damaged, she should use her "heavy tip" to save her own nails from damage. A new set of nails would not necessarily stay on because of this damage. Hopefully she will reconsider her hasty decision and find a salon that will insist on telling her the truth regarding nail care.

In response to tobytyler, who by the way posted the same review on another page under a different name...I have been going to LA Nails every 2 weeks for over 12 years. I have never had anything BUT great experiences anytime I have visited. Joseph does not care about the money...what he DOES care about is his customers and the health of their nails. What I am gathering from the bad review on here is that he did nothing but tell the truth, which is what made her unhappy. If she is such a "heavy tipper" and not afraid to spend the money, then why is she so afraid to spend the $5.00 needed to remove nails properly. Joseph and all of the techs there do everything the right way and you walk away with beautiful, healthy nails every time. I will continue to be a very satisfied customer for as long as he is there!!

I have been going to LA nails for almost 7 years. Hieu is funny and brash, but it is all in good fun. he is passionate about nail health and gets frustrated when he sees salons charge a fortune for bad work (I experienced that due to a gift certificate and got a 75 solar nail manicure that chipped and came off in a week, and went to Hieu to fix it). He is actually a very kind man! Ian and Nancy are wonderful. i go to Ian mostly and he is one of the best around. They have kept their prices reasonable and their work quality good. The kidding comes because they treat you like family. I am not a person who is a push over or will abide by by bad service, so if this wasnt the best place to go, i would find somewhere else immediately.

I get my nails done more often than I should--I just like the pampering and relaxation. I didn't get that warm and fuzzy feeling at the Cedar Bluff LA Nails. There's too many other good locations than to put up with the ignorant manager. He has great nail techs who could do so much better at another salon.

Absolutely a TERRIFIC nail salon. Have used acrylic nails for 25 yrs. and he is the best. Give Hugh a break. He has an unusual sense of humor. Cut up with him, all is fine. He has a close relationship with his clients and is passionate about his work.
Very clean !!!!!

I have been going to L.A. Nails for YEARS and I love the services and the entertainment Hieu(Joseph) provides. You really have to get to know him! He is a very caring person and is serious about providing his clients with healthy nails! He builds professional, but personal relationships with his clients! I have fun while receiving my services!! Who can ask for anything more?? Nancy and Ian are Awesome and do great work! I think Hilary said it best in the previous statement, "Hieu treats you like Family!" I enjoy each and every visit and would never consider going anywhere else!! I am one loyal customer!!

I'm not sure why the original poster believes it was necessary to blast Hieu, but he is a genuinely good person who care about customers. My mom is diabetic, and Hieu, Nancy, and Ian have been taking care of her feet for years. She hasn't had any lopped off toes or troubles because of the excellent job they do. I've also been going there for years to have my nails done. All three have worked on me, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Hieu laughs and jokes, and while he does tell folks to hush sometimes, it's always been in a teasing manner. LA Nails is truly a family atmosphere, and you can't go wrong using their services.

I have been going to LA Nails for a Couple months now and was very impressed with the care they took in removing the broken tip I had on. My nails are now all mine with a coating on them. The other reviews are right if you can't take a joke don't go here.. They love to cut with the customers but nail health is their top priority. Wouldn't trust anyone else ever again.
