How high are you willing to pay-- until you get fed up and find other sources of transportation?

I don't have a choice....their is no other forms of transportation. Why hasnt our wonderful government (republican OR democratic) spent $$ on increasing public transportation the past 25 years? Surely they have known for a long time this was going to happen. I guess its better to spend $500 billion dollars on a useless war and bribing every other country on earth instead of taking care of the average american.

I'll ride the wave as long as i can. Worried about the kids future, though.

I will pay whatever they charge. It's my fault for not writing my congressman back in 1974 when the Arabs cut off the oil supply. My mom bought a brand new 74 Vega and we saved money. Gas had rockedted up to 48 cents a gallon. We were in a panic mode as gas was around 31 cents/gallon. Boy, times have changed, but we haven't.

I guess I will have to pay whatever the price is to have gas - but at the prices now I am already cutting way back and not driving unless I absolutely have to.

Get these idiots out of Washington that make their primary income off oil and we will not need to have this conversation and continue to kill people for their resources.

I think we all would love to have the prices drop, but that doesn't seem to be realistic- unless things drastically change. I have been grouping my errands together and like most people have said cutting back on driving all together. If not for saving money, saving the environment.

Hey, I already invested in a bike and a skateboard, which have actually been pretty good buys since I live in the city. Good for the leg muscles too!

After all, I hate to mention this, but Knoxville has a LOAD of fatties walking around. I've never seen so many seriously overweight people in one place. Get some exercise!

There is no reason for gas to be 3.18. It should be around 1.50 like it was before Bush took office.

The Bush family is heavily invested in oil and Cheneys family are heavily invested in defense contracting companies. After 8 years of this administration Oil prices are at an all time high and we are at war in 2 countries. It is not just them, it is naive to think the oil prices have not been very profitable for many politicians looking to line thier wallets.

People need to quit blaming George and Dick for the gas prices, even if they were to blame they have been so good to this country that I would pay whatever price needed to be for gas.

You and I will pay whatever they want for their product. It is their gas and they should be able to charge whatever they want for it. That said, I think the government should let us buy gas from them for what it should cost. The government provides all kinds of goods and services for people who can't afford to pay for them through regular channels. We should be able to buy gas the same way.

Oil prices are unreal. But there are some idiots who blame Bush for everything from gas prices to McDonalds geting their drive-thru order wrong.

I would LOVE to hear your views on how they have been "good" to this country. With a 28% approval rating, an all time record low you must be part of the ~1/4 of this country that thinks he is doing an above average job.

If everyone in this country would park everything including the airlines, trucks, etc for a week, gas would come back down you watch but nobody will stand up and park everything instead some of you believe that we are running out of oil and believe what the President, Opec, oil companies, etc tell us.

You can't believe what the media says, the 28% approval rating is wrong, it is more like 88% I believe!! Enough said!!!!!!!!

That's your comeback? A personal attack instead of answering the question he posed. A classic Rush Neo-Bone answer. Face it...the republifreak days are numbered.
