Effort to control Japan nuclear plant may take weeks, U.S. says

Full story: TwinCities.com

Emergency workers seemed to try everything they could think of Thursday to douse one of Japan's dangerously overheated nuclear reactors: helicopters, heavy-duty fire trucks, even water cannons normally used to quell rioters.

Let's hear the nuke boosters again:

Its all the media's fault. Its all the environmentalists fault. Its because we can't build new nukes, its all okay the plants are totally safe and working just as designed.
Nobody could have ever imagined an earthquake in Japan, nobody could have ever thought of a tsunami in Japan or that the power would go out in a power plant. Radiation is no threat to health. Radiation might even be good for you. The massive epidemic of youth cancers in the Ukraine has nothing to do with that giant nuke burn in 1986. No one has died, ever from radiation.

Pro-nukers are worse than evangelical creationists, totally disconnected from reality and even more annoying.
