Old China... China is the aggressors. the Island bought were owned by independent fisher men that decided to sell the islands they own to Japan. That is the fisherman's choice.

The San Frasisco Treaty gave the islands back to Japan. They had been conquared by the US and US had every right to do what they want with them. The other powers weren't invited because the Asian theater was only Japan Vs America. China wasn't even in the war and I dont think America even recognize China because they were Communist. And why would we invite Communist China into the talks? They were enemies, just like Cuba, Russia, Vietnam and Korea during the time. That logic is just stupid at best.

Not to mention that China hasn't had any interest and claim to the islands for the past 100 years or so because the Japanese had it. So to say that China always had claim of the islands is stupid to.

And China has been the aggressors. What you think all those stupid protest and the sending boats into Japanese Territories on purpose? You dont call that aggressing? You seem to think anything China does no matter the circumstances is justification and that you can take all the action you want. That may work in China, in the international scene, things work much differently, something that every nation has abided to. China should not think its special and think they can by pass everything because its China. North Korea seems to think its special and even China disproves North Korea, so much so, that they have corperated with the US in creating and agreeing to more sanctions to North Korea.

You want to finish this once and for all. take it to the world court. However you are fucked as well because the question of Taiwan will come up too.

In the end, this is between Taiwan and China, and our dispute with Japan about the issue has been more peaceful until China barged in swinging its giant dick all over the place. You guys aren't helping.

Actually the US had every right.
Until the formation of the UN, international law held it as legal to take and hold territory by force.
Since then only 2 nations have. China in Tibet and Israel in Palestine.
<quoted text>
No. I'll just state that deliberately sending ships and aircraft into territory nominally controlled by another nation is an act of war. Doing so without ever attempting to resolve things legally through the UN (because you know you have no case) is even worse.
<quoted text>
In all of history the senaku/falkland islands have never spent 1 second under the control of the PRC/argentina. The PRC/Argentina were both formed through conflict and military conquest in a civil war.
Just like with Israel and land stealing, China sides with a nation with a similar (bogus) legal stance.
Also, article ONE of the UN charter enshrines peoples right to self determination. Argentina has no case.
<quoted text>
Feel free to mention any other nations sending their military into your territory.
If you have a case, take it to the UN. You won't however because you know international law says the same thing I do. Taiwan may have a claim but you don't want the question of Taiwan going anywhere near the UN thanks to the aforementioned article ONE of the UN charter.
<quoted text>
Apart from the PRC, who says the PRC have a valid claim?

I'm pretty sure OC actually is British. He's just spent an awful lot of time in a place where the government have spectacularly strong controls on the media.

He once made an excellent point about how there are some freedoms in China which aren't applicable in the UK using household waste as an example.

In the UK people can get fined for not recycling household waste wheras in China they don't really care.

Obviously that's only because China is a developing nation but it does help highlight exactly what freedom is.
