Too bad we are all rubber necking at the problem and deflecting responsibility for it. Same old, same old. Too many insecure Jamaicans who would rather say how good they are than admit there is a real problem.

Sure there are good Jamaicans. Does this mean we ignore the bad ones, who for the most part make the good look bad? Why are Jamaicans in general so afraid of the mirror? Why are we quick to say we are a different kind of Jamaican when the discussion focuses on the other kind of Jamaican?

Does this fix anything or does it only perpetuate the problem? Look brethren, we have a problem and the problem involves our people. Deal with it. Our brothers and sisters are making a mess. While we hide our heads in the sand, we leave the crooks with no one to be accountable to. It is time to rise up and take ownership of our country. Bogle and Sharpe did and they paid for it with their lives but they gave us our country. We who paid nothing for it are sadly so content just to forsake it with empty rhetoric. Talk is cheap.

Oh we do dearest everyday. What about Vick stabbing a dog at a shelter?He's in prison but not for that. No,I didn't see that Oprah show but I am sick over it. but everytime I go to Jamaica I spend half my time feeding stray cats and dogs because they look so pathetic it breaks my heart and ruins my whole trip.I wanted to move there but can't because of this subject.

A friend of mine just told me of her son being cut with a machete at work in Mandeville. so sorry to hear about that. Scratch earlier post about Atlanta responses. i think i was up to late and didn't read correctly. I have my son in formatory school in Treasure Beach therefore I probably give my share to Jamaica workforce. Do you think this violence is coming from drugs or bad economy or both?

Sorry to hear that. I accept your apology. All the above. My Jamaican friends tell the the goverment is the reason for the hardships. Accepting bribs, covering up incidents etc...I wish them the best...us to, USA!

Second, the reason that there are poor in the island as among the ones that have made their homes abroad. Is not due to "thuggies," it is the international economical restraints and the educated members of the polity of the island.

third and far from final, is, yes we do need a strong force but not one that is built on brute force or accusation. It must be analysis and the immediate placing of effective "emissaries" to the international Diaspora of Jamaica and the world.

It is attainable and need not have the shedding of blood. TO DATE i HAVE ONLY SEEN WICKED MEN RUNNINTG THE ISLAND AFFAIRS~! It is not the time to fear change only fear changes from one party to the next and neither correct the problem.

Here is the irony~! There was a time when the world first began and there were two people who did not consider being naked was wrong.

One day they heard the news that said they were naked and chose not to be seen by even the leader of their social order.

Unhappy that they did not want to be seen uncovered by the leader any longer. Clothing was made to cover their private parts.

Lo and behold the disgrace of their parts were now the theoretic teaching to be told. Today everything is deplorable to be seen especially on the men.

On that note the more women body parts that is revealed through clothing is adored by them self and especially by men.

Now would any religious group care to tell me why would god then take up the idea that the body parts are now deplorable.
