I can identify with Sister P because I have to fight for my place in the sun. I dont think she expected an easy ride bearing in mind how wicked
some of us are.

Portia is a fighter from long time ago and will have no trouble hitting back at the naysayers and the "Big Boys" Club
network who want to go to bed
with whoever can promote their business.

Maybe Prime Minister Portia Simpson should take a lead from President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia. While both countries differ in socio-economics she could like Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf start from the bottom up, education, security, health, as the saying goes "Come Again.."

Our people do not respect woman, woman is the back bone for our culture and it is a crying shame on the jamaican population that they lose confidence in our prime minster so quickly. How much good will the other party do for the welfare of the poor in the island. People give the first woman priminster a real chance, she has no backitive from our people they lose faith too easily.

Prime Minister Simpson-Miller has spent (30)thirty years in the trenches (politically) and have achieved herposition through her relationship with the working class,(sensitive to their needs) political smarts and know-how.

Despite her detractors she will prove to be more capable and savvy that they predict/expect. Females in a position of leadership in Jamaica and most of the world is a novelty--hear all the questions/concerns surrounding Hiliary Clinton's likey bid to become the next President of the United States.

Let's face it--our value system emerges from a society that is male dominated. The "Old boys" network selects and dissects. Portia Simpson is not considered a part of that network so less than a year in office she is expected to find a solution for every problem in Jamaica.

It is not going to happen. No one should expect that. Most of the criticism is based on primarily dispect for women in JA--despite the fact that they represent the backbone of the society.

She should be given a chance as those who served before. Be reminded "those who shout the loudest, most often have the least to contribute".

I am prepared to give her a chance--then let the voters decide in 2007 if she is person to lead the country in next five years.

I think the Sweet Prime Minister was set up to believe it would be a steady ride when she was used as a bait to distract the people from the PNP to the JLP in an attempt to cause the next election to be won by the Jamaica Labour Party.

Come on guys there is a traitor in the party who is so clever that he/she knew Sweet P could not deliver the kind of stuff to keep the party at the elm, wake up smell the coffee and let us all unite.

Tell her that the strong hold which she thinks she has in St. Mary are all going to change to the JLP and they are going to win all the constituencies because of the road condition and the disaster that the foreign contractors are doing. If she only knew how unhappy the people are, you would try starting some damage control even if it is to pretend that you care.

I dont understand how a people who have been decade to the PNP have been so neglected.

Also you think that country people have no sense, so you think they will accept any, think again. The
people will speak to you when the next election is called.

Then to add insult to injury, they took up Delano Franklyn and carried to St. Mary claiming that because he spent one year in St. Mary when he was ten, he can claim to be a son of the soil. Who does these people think they are and throwing out Christopher Castriota who would have taken the election home for Western St. Mary.

The Delegates in St. Mary spoke as paid delegates so unless he is going to pay the voting public who has their opposite opinion of how the nominations for member of parliament should go, then watch to see something that I hear everyday about what the outcome will be.

Best of Luck to you in the other parishes. Welcome to the JLP in St. Mary a new stronghold for them.

PLEASE LOOK AFTER ST. MARY!!! warning! St. Mary People will not stand for anymore!!!

Dont Get Me wrong just let us say that I am one who
is looking on travelling in taxis in St. Mary where the people have to come out of it and walk not because they reach their destinations but because the road is so bad. Who would you vote for in a situation like this Sister P. My parents and grand parent did this and my generation realize that we should let their experience show you the wisdom that we have gained. Take Bonny Gate in St. Mary for example. The road is a river stream. Is this repayment for loyalty??? Never you underestimate what rural people will do.
Have you ever noticed that criminals don't hide in country parts for long, dont you dare continue to neglect us.
I am just being the only courteous one. Until you recognise what you need to do and start doing it in St. Mary no one is going to continue on a sinking ship. You are destined for loosing big time in St. Mary.

God bless Jamaica. With its many People, warm hearts, complex sense of right and wrong, and growing ignorance.
why not back your PM?
why be sheeps?
those who have want someone to give them more,
those who do not have want what they have never had to be given to them now, but do not understand that this has to come from someone, or somewhere.
So instead of blaming the PM for its problems, Jamaica need to look within itsself. from small steps come greatness.

There have been many years of the Jamaican citizenry hatred upon themselves. It is as though they don't need outside assistance to slaughter each other.

Here in America the ever present actions are the same. As a classified culture of people that I'm a part of it is a traumatic realization. That is not to say that diverse nations do not oppress their citizenry also.

As it is also my concern for them I am however grafted within these Jamaican legacy. My responsibility is that to implement measures metered out to the populace. In efforts that conditions will be applied as immediacy requires such at the international level.

My Empirical thanks and appreciation for those sincere guides and protectors of humane living conditions~!

LET'S SEE HOW DO WE TRANSFORM DESTRUCTION INTO PEACE~!?
