A woman sent a letter to her husband in jail for robbing a bank, and the money never recovered.
I think that I may plant a garden in the back yard.
Her husband wrote back, don't plant your garden in the back yard, because that is where I bury the bank loot. The wife writes back: the Sheriff and his men dug up the whole back yard and found no money, husband wrote back: now you can plant your garden.

The husband knew the jailers were reading his mail, so he wrote a bogus story that the loot was buried in the backyard. So the cops read the letter, then show up and dig for the loot, thereby digging the garden for the wife.

The wife wanted to dig up the back yard for a garden which is a lot of work, the husband did not want his wife to do the digging, so he knewn that the Sheriff read their letters, so he lie to her, knowning that the Sheriff men would dig up the back yard, to save his wife a lot of work. Got It?
