It is not a requirement to be a lawyer or judge or even have a law degree to be a Supreme Court Justice. I realize there is slim to no chance if you are not, but the way you worded your invitation to comment struck this thought in my head. Lately it seems that the only requirement one needs is to believe in right to life,right to shaft the common people, and right to get rich at others expense, Republicans litmus test.

There isn't even a requirement to be a U.S. citizen! But as you noted, it would probably be difficult to get confirmed.

As to the subject at hand, I'd GLADLY accept a job that pays $213,900 per year for the rest of you life! Even if you only serve 1 month, you can "retire" and still get that pay until you die. What a SCAM!
