I have been completing my geneology to surprisely discovered that my greatgrandfather imigrated to Puerto Rico in abt 1870. His name in the US census was Miguel Cestari Scarpertta. He was born in 1846 in Salerno. I believe two other people in the island about the same time are his relatives, there names were Emilia Cestare Scarpetta and Francesco Cestare Scarpetta. I'm in the point of been stock in my geneology...any help in how to find info in Salerno, Italy. I do have the name of whom I believed were his parents. Saverio Cestare y Maria Giuseppa Scarpet. Any help will be really appreciate it. If everything goes as plan, I'm planning to visit Salerno in 2009 hoping meeting some of my relatives there.
