NATO commander warns against attacks on civilians
The new commander of international military operations in Libya warned Thursday that anyone attacking civilians would be "ill-advised" to continue, and said he would look into a report by a Vatican envoy that air strikes had killed 40 innocent people.

NATO is concerned that the rebels will also harm civilians when they try to attack cities.

A US or coalition attack in Tripoli has killed at least 40 or more Libyan civilians. They are now trying to determine if it was a result of a Tomahawk cruise missile or a bomb from a jet aircraft.

Understood, but that was probably done by US, French or British forces before NATO officially took command of this operation.
