That Italy turns a blind eye to this ludicrous conflict of interest is a tribute to a system of corruption that has ruled this society for centuries.

That Berlusconi's frightening delusions of grandure causes him to think he was above the law is a simple fact of Italian life.

Now that sex and a gorgeous hottie are his latest scandal, not even he will be able to turn off his own mdeia machine. And, of course, every tabloid from Dublin to Prague to Lisbon will be covering this.
