The link between high salt intake and high blood pressure is well established, and it has been suggested that a population-wide reduction in dietary salt intake has the potential to substantially reduce the levels of cardiovascular disease.

retention of ammonia is a strong factor in cardiovascular disease; if the ph of the blood is decreased towards being acidic by only tiny amounts, then this causes arterial plaque;
blood buffer solutions are controlled by hormone enzymes example prostaglandin, testostorone etc; note; aluminium sulphate ions taking the place of calciun ions is a main cause of diseases such as Alzheimers,parkinsons, motor neuron, diabetes, artheritus, heart attack' general cell damage; etc; it has long been known that retention of uric acid causes many disease problems such causing the immune system to attack itself; as with artheritus, diabetes; retention of ammonia,example in the gonads or ovaries cause ionic cell interference which leads to hormonal disturbance causing corrupt interpretations of testosterone and estradiol renin RAAS etc which then cause the actual disease of which there are many,as mentioned etc; research is needed to investigate why ammonia is not expelled by the kidneys as it should be; perhaps it is toxic poisoning by aluminium sulphate and chlorine from both water and salt intake combining, thus foming a conglomerate of ions that the kidney nephoronic cells cannot function as they should; further example apt within mitochondria of cells leading to MS and similar wasting conditions; prevention is better than cure we need to investigate now and save hardship and money later!
