Driver given disabled licence for being gay

Jul 15, 2008 | Posted by: ngali | Full story: www.theage.com.au

Apparently the Italian government classifies being gay a disability and it was ordered to pay 100,000 euros to a gay man who received a driver's licence for the disabled after he declared his sexual orientation on an official form ...

Well isn't being gay a handicap? It's not normal with nature?

Apparently it is normal with nature. Homosexuality has been observed and studied in about 1500 species besides humans.

If it was an all gay army, what do you think the the parade drills would look and sound like?

They'd best be careful, classifying homosexuality as a disability. That would have to lead to special accommodations for gay people - just like the government requires handicapped parking and wheelchair ramps... our "disability" would also demand "accommodation!"

I wonder if they really want to go there!

There is gay sex in nature, making it natural by definition.

Obviously they don't want to "go there" as policy - a judge just awarded a pay-out against them for "going there".

I'm pretty sure that successfully suing the govt because they classified him as disabled doesn't mean that he gets to keep the disabled license and the payout.

Actually, history does provide examples of all gay armies. Not surprisingly, these men (and women) fought to the death to protect thier mates. Japan had the best organized, followed by China (although this was a sporadic action by the military) which also had monestaries that were defended by militant monks along with thier lovers. Later on, the Greeks and the Romans along with the Persians, maintianed legions of gay men. These were ususally the first to fight in combat, the ancients Marines so to speak. The following is a list of currant countries which do allow gays to serve openly. Albania, Argentenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Republic of China (Taiwan), Crotia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lithania, Luxemborg, Malta, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thialand, and Great Briton. If you are more concerned with what, "...the parade drills would look and sound like?" instead of national defense and international security, then perhaps you should contact the military leaders of the above countries to get thier professional opinions. Best to you.

What worries me is this:
A straight soldier is fondled by a homosexual and knocks him to the floor. The homo files a complaint and the military investigation concludes that the reaction to being sexually assaulted was appropriate, or it's a he said/he-she said event with no other evidence and does not prosecute.
The homo isn't satisfied with that and here comes a civillian court and lawyers.
The president makes another ignorant statement like "... acted stupidly."
So, there is a lot of military history written. Please inform us of those units you speak of that have a record comparable to the armed forces of the United States.

By the way, I hire those in the army to protect me, not their mate. If that's their motivation, then we're doomed. You can protect your so-called "mate" by running away, too. I want only those who are motivated to protect the people of the United States. That's what we have today. And you want to do some social engineering and change that.
I don't know how we can avoid sexual harrassment suits from basic training.

Idiot so-called "progressives" really don't know what it takes to build the remarkable military machine we have constructed. We need less than 10 percent of the military-age population to defend us and deal with war half way around the world, and the idiot "progressives" want to change that.

Spinal bifida is natural, also.
Just because something is naturally occurring doesn't mean it is the norm, or normal.
Gay is not the norm, therefore not mormal. It is naturally occurring, as are many other characteristics out of the norm like a sixth digit on an appendage.
If homosexuality was normal, then our species would disappear.
I don't know what is so special about being born homosexual. Everyone has something about them they were born with that is not the norm. Why are homosexuals so special?

Well, corksoaker, please point out the disrespectful statement.
This is the problem. I write an objective statement, and the ensuing discussion is mindless rants that you would hear in some high school.

Well having served in the US military for over 21 years I can tell you this... Those that serve don't do it for the love of protecting you, they do it for the benefits and the pay checks just like any other person in employment. So why can't gays do it just as well as the non gays? I have served beside some individuals that leave little doubt to the fact that they are gay, and I am proud to have done so. They serve as well or in many cases better than the "straight" service member. So the progressive way of thinking is long past over due in my opinion and I am glad the US is finally categorized with those other countries with there forward thinking military mind set.

I wasn't too much different than all the other guys in boot camp with me. The pay was $99.50 a month. We almost all came from middle class working families with a job in the trade of our father, or an uncle waiting for us if we didn't go into the military, or be a student at a university.
Naturally, after basic all these previous characteristics become insignificant, as if they never applied. The pay didn't get much better than $99.50 a month.
That doesn't agree with your assertion: "Those that serve don't do it for the love of protecting you, they do it for the benefits and the pay checks just like any other person in employment."
I served my country. That was my purpose for joining. That was the common motivation then. At $99.50 a month, it wasn't the money.
Because we have an all volunteer military today, and being a veteran was one of the worst things you could have on your resume for a long time when you wanted some baby boomer junior manager to give you a job, the men and women we have today are serving their country first and foremost.
You seem to be the usual Democrat that condemned, castigated, slandered and ostracized the Vietnam veteran.
By the way, nobody cared. All anyone cared about was if you made the time served better by being there with us, or worse by being there with us. You could have been the straightest person on the planet, but if you made things worse for us, we'd never let up on you. If you happened to be gay, that's what we'd dig on you with.
Get over yourself.
And, just from what you wrote, I doubt your claim. But, it's possible that you somehow managed to remain in the inactive reserve without being culled or exposed to normal military existence.
Have you been accused of this before?))))
