Italy is as corrupt as a America.
Unfortunately, corruption is deeply embedded in both cultures.
The difference is that Italians are not in denial about it.

Some of us in Chicago have the same worry about who would really benefit from the 2016 Olympics. Just the Daley "mob" and no one else, wethinks.

I think the mob will benefit from stimulus spending. I dont know how much Italy is going to spend to rebuild, but I doubt it will be anywhere close to the nearly $1 trillion spent on the "stimulus" package.

In Daley's upcoming memoirs "Where's Mines?" he includes a chapter on globalization.

Daley views it as "group dynamics", wherin the group-think takes precedent over any individual needs and morals. In his upcoming memoirs "Where's Mines?" Daley includes an in-depth chapter on this successful concept.

"The crime clans have many connections to cement companies, debris-removal outfits and other businesses which could infiltrate the reconstruction process if authorities aren't vigilant..."

Is the article about Italy, or Chicago? They could be interchangeable...
