Khamenei allies trounce Ahmadinejad in Iran election

Loyalists of Iran's paramount clerical leader have won over 75 percent of seats in parliamentary elections, a near-complete count showed, largely reducing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a lame duck in a contest between conservative hardline factions.

While it doesn't free Iran from the Mullahs, it at least marginalizes notorious nutjob and provocateur Ahmedinejad. He needed to be kicked back a notch.

Now, if only the Israelis would do that to Likud and Bibi-girl Netanyahu, his fellow nutjob...:)
