Iran Revolutionary Guard pervasive, complicating sanctions

Full story: TwinCities.com

A major expansion in the role played by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps is giving the elite force new economic and political clout, but it could also complicate efforts by the United States and its allies to put pressure on the Iranian regime, American officials and outside analysts say.

The time for action has passed. We have to hunker down and protect ourselves from them. We have to adapt to the situation and find out what hurts them. Talk doesn't work. Sanctions might but it won't work with China and Soviet Union suppling them with all they need. There is no cooperation because the Soviets want us to be crushed. Perhaps the Soviets need to be sanctioned? Could we do it?

We're switching focus for what to sanction though, we're not going to hit the government, we're going to hit the puppet masters of the government, the IRG. Apparently the US government has been in contact with Pro-Green Iranian Pressure movements, they're identifying all of the Front businesses used by the IRG, the IRG is something like a super corporation, they control much of the government there and they are utterly loyal to the current "President" there, they're most likely even controlling Khamenei now.
