kmo,

You are right!!! Tis Friday.
Hate to burst your bubble no pizza. I will have a Bud or two or three and will attend the Wazzu - Oregon State football game on Saturday, then a postgame party.
I'll use my "uncommon" sense. I do not expect to be nuked. I do see a danger when zealots have access to WMD's.
Your charity is appreciated.
Thank you.

Good! Let them go broke.

Maybe they can make their space ship from all the lead toys they've recalled.

I really don't think Ahmadinejad will ever fuel the first reactor. He already threatened to nuke Israel. That is the same as threatening to nuke the USA.
The US has already developed super bunker buster warheads just for Iran. I can remember watching TV and seeing people marching in the streets of
Tehran over 20 years ago chanting "Death to America". The USA has shown great restraint against Iraq. We could have easily killed everyone in the country. But that is not our way. However, Iran officially declared war on the USA as soon as Iran sent insurgents into Iraq with roadside bombs to kill our troops. We want to stablize the country so we can leave, but Iran and Saudi Arabia keeps sending in troops to kill our boys. Do they really think that we are going to forget about that. Most of the American people I have talked too want Iran to get get hit hard in a full scale missle attack as soon as possible.
We are already at war with Iran anyway. I feel realy bad for the Iranian people, as they have no idea the horrible thing that is about to happen to them.

Talk is chaep! threats iresponssible!

I knew a guy who once in a fight had his nose broken and was being kicked in the mouth, later he said" i feel sorry for my attacker,if he knew what would happen to him!"

I said" it would have been better to get him there and then, forget future and cheap talk".

Thanks Ed. I didn't reply because I knew any subsequent replies would only serve to further his goal of burying all the good comments made by others here well beneath a load of spam replies. I've dealt with his type before. "Denial", is the word here.

Not "if" honey-bunny...
Radical Islam (a spin-word for a very organized and sophisticated Islamic political base) is in empire-building mode because their one leading resource, oil, is the lifeblood of nations and whoever controls that cash register assumes historical power.

We are no more trying to "save" Israel than we are trying to "export democracy" other than for our own needs and the care and feeding of our own civilization. Even if the US came up with an alternative energy source tomorrow morning that didn't pollute, raise planet temperatures, cost out the ass, etc., we would still be faced with "Radical Islam" as prime energy vendor to China (our friend for the moment) and Europe (our allies when in need).

The balance of power is at stake and Iran is the front counter for a new Islamic empire calculated to rival the West by controlling the flow of a limited but precious resource.

It's not about the morality of nuclear weapons or any simple-minded debate over who has the right to prevail over whom. The real questions are which way China rotates when (not if) there is a war of attrition in Iran; how Russia can be expected to burrow its way into this; what the Europeans will do if their life-support is threatened.

The rest is rhetoric. Morality always gives way to survival in any fight to the death. Always.
